Half the year is now done, and with this, half the coverage of the mobile gaming scene is coming to an end. Well, there is still half remaining, and as expected I will be covering the interesting roundups for the coming months too. Skul: The Hero Slayer is now available on mobile. BATTLE CRUSH opened pre-registrations as Ash of Gods: Redemption announced its closed beta.

In other news, Valorant Mobile got approved in China, whereas Netflix Games’ Summer 2024 lineup and The Angry Birds Movie 3 were announced.

Executive Summary

Covering mobile gaming news for the second week of June 2024, Ding Dong Dang got officially launched on Mobile while Gameloft’s Disney Speedstorm got its release date set. Super Contras: Metal Soldier 2 entered early access for Android. In another big announcement, Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 Remake were announced for iOS devices.

Executive Summary

This week also saw some game releases, with Werewolf: Heart of the Forest, Tour de France Cycling Legends, and the highly awaited Honor of Kings. New games were announced too, with Project Party and PANDO LAND, and pre-registrations opening for Civilization Mobile: World Origin and Silkroad Origin Mobile.

Google Play is reportedly considering an auto-launch feature for apps post-download. Riot Games delayed the console launch of Wild Rift to prioritize mobile. Apple came under EU scrutiny for alleged competition concerns. Tencent removed Dungeon and Fighter Mobile from certain Android app stores due to a licensing dispute. In Japan, a 31-year-old man spent $250,000 of his grandmother’s money on a mobile MMORPG.

Executive Summary

This fourth week of June 2024 had mobile gaming news filled with releases and announcements.
