Since the beginning of November, the popular subscription service has added six new titles. The latest member of that group has just landed on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the form of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Xbox has revealed the full list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass in November, marking the second wave of cancellations from the subscription service in a month.
Not long before that MFS 2024 became available to play at 8 a.m. PT on November 19, Microsoft announced the second wave of this month's Xbox Game Pass lineup. Along with the recently released Flight Simulator, upcoming titles include Little Kitty, Big City, PlateUp, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, Nine saltsand Aliens: Dark Descent. From this group, PlateUp and Little Kitty, Big City were already available on Xbox Game Pass from February and May 2024 respectively. However, they weren't part of the standard XGP library introduced as part of the XGP tier overhaul over the summer, and are just now being added to it, so they've been included in this newly announced list.

November 2024: Second weakest month for Game Pass releases
The only member of this lineup is Wave 2, whose arrival was not announced in advance Aliens: Dark Descent. The fact that one-third of the list is made up of XGP Standard releases highlights an alarming trend that Xbox Game Pass began in November 2024: heavily supplementing upcoming release lists with titles already available at higher tiers of the service. In reality, when all is said and done, the XGP library will only add nine new games throughout November – barring surprise launches. This would make November the second weakest month of 2024 in terms of truly new XGP releases, just ahead of August, which saw just six additions.
One benefit is that the new games on this month's Wave 2 list are mostly lauded and highly anticipated releases such as STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl and Nine salts. This suggests that Microsoft may be shifting its focus to quality over quantity.
The Xbox Game Pass library is shrinking from summer 2024
Regardless, with seven games leaving Xbox Game Pass on November 15th and more than half a dozen more joining them on the 30th, this month could be another net negative for the service. The last time the XGP library gained more games than it lost in a single month was back in July 2024, when it added 12 titles and removed nine others.
