- It is not yet clear when these improvements will be released to all players.
Microsoft released a new one Xbox an update for alpha testers that improves the ability to customize game images and background images for players. Going forward, players will have even more control over how they present themselves on Xbox consoles.
Xbox Backgrounds and Gamers have long been a staple of the console's profile, allowing players to choose images to display next to their Gamertag. Players can either choose their own image, take a photo of their Xbox avatar, or choose one of the pre-made options to represent themselves on the Xbox Network. This feature is critical to customizing a person's profile, and Microsoft periodically updates the backgrounds and game art features with better resolution and more customization tools, even remaking some of the old school Xbox 360 game images for the new consoles.
