It is not surprising that most holidays in World of Warcraft based on real-world holidays. A good example of this would be Hallow's End, which is essentially Azeroth's version of Halloween. All over Azeroth, you'll find lanterns, spooky decorations, and plenty of Halloween-themed rewards to earn.
Each tavern even has candy buckets where you can get candy and gold (along with experience if you haven't reached the top level). Hallow's End runs from October 25th to November 8th, so here's what to expect from the event, including all the rewards you can get.

All Hallow's End events
As mentioned above, every inn in Azeroth and beyond will have candy buckets that you can interact with to get candy and other cool stuff. Even if you visited the candy buckets last year, they're all reset every time Hallow's End returns. The only area that doesn't have candy buckets is the Shadowlands.
Each starting zone will have a town with some daily quests related to Hallow's End. Periodically, the Headless Horseman will appear and set fire to buildings. You will need to collect buckets of water and throw them into the fire. If you and your fellow players manage to put out the flames quickly enough, you'll be able to fight the Headless Horseman. It won't take more than a few hits to knock him out, and then he'll leave his head behind, allowing you to start your daily quest.
Speaking of the Headless Horseman, he is a seasonal boss for Hallow's End in the same way that Coren Direbrew and Ahun are bosses for Brewfest and Midsummer Fire Festival respectively. Like these bosses, you can queue up to fight the Headless Horseman.
Since 2023, the Headless Horseman has been updated. The combat is now a bit more difficult than DPSing the head when it appears, but the combat is still pretty easy. However, you can make the fight more difficult by using Wicker Man statues. The effects of these statues make combat much more difficult, but the debuffs only affect the player who activated them, not the rest of the party.
If you manage to defeat the Headless Horseman with the Wicker Man statues active, it increases your chances of getting a Headless Horseman mount from a loot-filled pumpkin. With the exception of loot-filled pumpkin rewards, the Headless Horseman drops the following rings at item max level 554:
- The Petrified Pumpkin Band
- Seal of Ghoulish Glee
- Ring of the Horseman
- Wicked witch's glove
Additionally, there is a loot-filled pumpkin that you can get once per day per character. In addition to the much-coveted mount that drops from a loot-filled pumpkin, you can also get the Headless Horseman's helmet and sword. You also have a chance to get the Ominous Swoosh and Hallowed Helm needed to achieve Ominous Summons.
All Hallow's End rewards
Other than dropping from the Headless Horseman or a pumpkin filled with loot, most of the rewards from this event are purchased from vendors. In both Orgrimmar and Stormwind, you'll find vendors selling various cosmetic rewards. Some vendors, such as Chub and Dorothy, sell toys, and Woim and Pippi sell pets. Regardless of location, each vendor sells the following items.

Instead of gold, you'll buy items with Tricky Treats. Crafty treats are acquired through daily quests, loot-filled pumpkins, and sometimes candy buckets across Azeroth. So, if you want to get as many rewards as possible, you need to make sure you visit every candy bucket, complete the daily quests every day for the duration of this event, and kill the Headless Horseman at least once a day. You can also get 10 crafty treats by completing “Hallow's End Treats for Jasper!” (Alliance) or “Hallow's End Treats for Spoops!” (Horde).
Don't worry if you can't get all the rewards from Hallow's End before the event ends. All rewards will be available when Hallow's End launches next year, though you'll have to design Tricky Treats from scratch.
In addition to all the rewards that can be purchased, there's even a title that you can get in Hallow's End. By completing the achievements below, you can earn the Saint title.
