As Sung Jin's powers develop, he finds himself in increasingly dangerous situations in the next season. An important event unfolds when Jinu accompanies his sister Jinu to a parent meeting, where he is asked to advise Han Song Yi, an E rank hunter and Jinu's friend, about the dangers of following the path of a hunter. Rather, Jinu invites Ahn Sangmin of the White Tiger Guild to help arrange surveillance for the C-rank raid so they can observe it.
I will protect my family, even if it means turning all the hunters in the world against me.
This raid almost turns out to be something else, as the Gate suddenly changes and transports the group into a treacherous, isolated dimension with dangerous enemies such as ice elves and giant ice bears. Refusing to bow down in this dire situation, Jin's ability to command and fight his way through the dungeon is now essential to their survival. His growth since last season is tremendous, and he protects Han Sung-yi and B-rank wizard Park Hee-jin from immediate threats.
