Cyberpunk 2077A sequel may be a long way off, but that hasn't stopped the trail of speculation. The sequel, now known simply as Project Orionexpected to carry on the legacy and unmistakable style Cyberpunk 2077hopefully also learn from his flaws.
Or Project Orion whether it will actually be a direct sequel is unclear, as are all endings Cyberpunk 2077 are pretty compelling without leaving much room for V and Johnny's story to continue. That being said, there is also a good chance that it will Orion will take players beyond the iconic Night City, perhaps introducing a new urban environment or even a different temporal setting, exploring different aspects of this disturbing vision of humanity's future. Naturally, the cyberpunk genre emphasizes the down-and-dirty elements of hypermodern life, reflecting real-world issues such as urban sprawl and rampant industrialization, but the natural world has not been completely eradicated—something that is evident in the immensity Cyberpunk 2077's barren badlands. Based on the small amount of information available about Project Orionit's possible that players will see more of this side of Mike Pondsmith's sci-fi world.

One mechanic added to Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC should definitely make its way into the next entry in the series.
Explaining the apparent orientation to animals in the Orion project.
Animals are rare in Cyberpunk 2077, but perhaps less so in Project Orion
A recent job listing from CD Projekt Red for a Project Orion The character of the Artist clearly mentions animals. Specifically, the listing states that the ideal candidate will have a “very good understanding of human and animal form and anatomy.” It's vague, of course, but the fact that the list goes out of its way to emphasize the importance of animal anatomy suggests that new animals could be designed to Project Orion— something that would be self-explanatory for most games, but packed with meaning Cyberpunkthe world.
Which could mean the arrival of more animals for the Orion project.
The paucity of both wild and domestic animals in the village Cyberpunk 2077 directly related to the story of the game. Several decades ago Cyberpunk 2077 serious zoonotic epidemics led to the mass extermination of most nonhuman animals, especially in more densely populated communities where civilians were more at risk. The “Wildlife in the Night City” data shard even suggests that small insects have been wiped out by these plagues.
But the obvious counter to this is that animal life is probably more abundant outside Night City, a view supported by Cyberpunk 2077an iguana egg that comes from the Badlands and is to be smuggled into town. So if CD Projekt Red really plans to introduce more animals for Project Orionthen it would be natural to assume that players will be able to see more of the world beyond the walls of Night City. In other words, if wildlife is more abundant in rural or untamed regions, and Project Orion doubles animal life, then perhaps its environment will include such regions to a greater extent than its predecessor.
Having said that, it is always important to consider alternative explanations. More animals could mean moving away from the Night City, but it could also mean simply including more animals within the walls of the metropolis. One interesting piece knowledge that has not been sufficiently explored in Cyberpunk 2077 is that owning animals is not illegal, only restricted to the ultra-rich due to the high taxes associated with it. With that in mind, CDPR's animal design request could be the result of a character or sidequest that revolves around such a unique perk feature in the game world. It would be interesting, yes, but hardly as transformative as greater attention to the natural world in general.
