Collecting Pieces of heart is an ancient tradition in Zelda franchise, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom brilliantly carries the torch into the future. From the moment Zelda is set free in the open world of Hyrule, she will almost immediately begin encountering Heart Pieces. And while most of these health-boosting items can be found without too much trouble, there are a few that can be difficult to collect, even in the early stages. This guide will cover one such item with an explanation how to get piece of heart in Beach Cave.
How to get Beach Cave Heart Piece
Thorn Beach Cave:
If you missed the Heart Piece when you were initially passing by beach cave, you can get back to it by taking the fast road to Sathorn Village and then heading west. This is a cave that you have to go through to get to from the beach area Sathorn village. If you're coming from the west, you'll know you're entering a cave when you see the entrance blocked by several Sea urchin enemies.
Boulder Echo:
You will need to verify that you have purchased Echo Boulder to get that piece of heart. There may be other hard objects that can do the job, but if you want to get the Piece of Heart as early as possible, the Boulder is your best bet. Fortunately, the place is impossible to miss, you just have to make sure you learn the echo.
When you leave Hyrule Castle for the first time, you will enter a large hole in the ground to exit the courtyard. This will take you to a side-scrolling sequence with underwater sections. You will encounter a Boulder blocking your path. Walk up to the rock and press ZR to learn about the echo.
Just awesome:
When you reach the beach cave, you'll have to defeat one Kizzy. Then, as you move forward in the cave, you will be able to see a piece of heart in a small chamber blocked by wooden crates. There's a higher platform that it looks like you'll need to drop a Boulder off of to break the crates, but reaching the platform first can stump you. With three Echoes available, it doesn't seem like reaching the platform is possible. That is, until you notice an obvious rock wall staring you in the face.
If you missed the climbing wall, don't worry, you're not the only one. There doesn't seem to be any hints in the game that the wall can be climbed. But this is actually the way to reach the higher platform. Follow these steps to collect a piece of heart:
- Climb the stone wall to reach a higher platform
- Create a Boulder Echo on the edge of the platform and let it fall to break the box – it will only break one.
- Hold ZR to erase the boulder, then drop another onto the next box.
- Repeat the process to break the third box.
- The camera is now available. Collect a piece of heart.
