For now World of Warcraft Classic may have had a pretty big 2024 with three content-filled versions, Blizzard seems to be going even further in 2025. Players can not only expect to see more adventures in the World of Warcraft Classicbut the season of discovery should also continue with the latest phase of content. If that wasn't enough, the latest version WoW Classic will also be moving forward with an extremely busy year of content for fans.
Unlike World of Warcraft: The war withinplayers should know almost everything they can expect during the year, as most of the content in the World of Warcraft Classic already seen years ago. Thanks to Blizzard's roadmap, the direction this game is headed has become even clearer. If the studio can deliver on all of this, fans are in for a fantastic 2025.

Phase 4 will introduce tons of new dungeons, a Dragon Soul raid, and the end game Cataclysm history. After months of preparation, they will finally take on Deathwing and hopefully stop him from destroying Azeroth forever. In the fall, the expansion will officially launch and send players on a wild adventure where they will once again fight for the fate of Pandaria and Azeroth. While most of this content will be released throughout 2026, the first chapter will end 2025 in a great way.
The content of the classic 20th anniversary edition will be distributed throughout the year
All phases of the classics are on the way
Launched late last year, World of Warcraft Classic 20th Anniversary Edition is also slated to receive tons of content throughout 2025. Now players can enjoy classic adventures from levels 1-60, as well as raids in Molten Cores and Onyxia's Lair. On January 9th, they can expect tons of content with the launch of Phase 2; Ruins of the Terrible Mall.
WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Edition Phase 2 will bring an updated honor system, Dire Maul, and world bosses Azuregos and Kazzak. After that, they can expect a lot more content throughout the year.
Phase 3 is slated to launch in the spring, bringing with it the Blackwing Lair and the Darkmoon Faire. Phase 4 will arrive in the summer and will introduce the Zul'Gurub raid and the Arati Basin battlefield. Phase 5 will be released in early fall and will add the Ani'Kiraj Temple and An'Kiraj Ruins raid along with AQ War Effort. The classic Burning Crusade will be released later this year
If that wasn't enough, Blizzard also plans to launch World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic at the end of the year. Players will once again take up arms against the Burning Legion and Illidan Stormrage in the game's first ever expansion. Not only will they have a whole new continent in the form of Outland, but they will also be able to create their very own Blood Elf or Draenei. Along with this, the level cap will be increased to 70 and there will be countless new quests to complete and monsters to defeat.
This release will probably have the same core Burning Crusade Classic experience that was launched in 2021. These servers have been replaced by Wrath of the Lich King in 2022, so it will be nice to see this expansion return. The roadmap suggests that it could launch in winter 2025 or spring 2026. But as the Classic phases are completed, the studio will likely share more.
