Life simulator Disney's Dreamlight Valley 2024 was a busy year. New realms were opened, new characters joined the Vale, and the A Rift in Time expansion was completed, and the Vale Storybook was launched. The year 2025 promises to be no less rich Disney Dreamlight Valley, with a mix of free updates and paid expansion content coming to the game. The roadmap for the first half of 2025 has already been released, but if 2024 is any indication, it doesn't represent everything planned for 2025; more information will likely be released sometime in the summer.

Road map until 2025. featured three free content updates
According to the road map until 2025 Disney's Dreamlight Valley, Players can expect the following updates:
Aladdin and Jasmine will arrive in early 2025
The first of three planned free updates is simply slated for “early 2025.” Since the current Star Trek Frozen ends on February 5th, it is likely that the update will be sometime in late February or possibly March. Aladdin and Jasmine from the movie Aladdin both will be added to the game as their iconic headgear can be seen on the road map. The caption “Explore a new world” could mean that Aladdin's kingdom will be revealed in the Castle of Dreams.
Alice in Wonderland characters will appear in the spring of 2025
Next, in the spring of 2025, players are invited to “step into Wonderland” – the setting of the Disney film alice in wonderland of course. Wonderland is also considered a new realm in the dream castle. The Cheshire Cat appears on the roadmap, so he could join as a Villager, although Alice herself, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Worms are also potential inclusions – as usually Realm expansions involve adding two characters at once.
The mystery of the skull rock is revealed in the summer of 2025
In the summer of 2025, players will finally find out who or what is trapped in the Skull Rock, a mysterious formation in the Dazzle Beach biome. Skull Rock has been around since the beginning of the game, and the former leader of The Forgotten vaguely remembers a man inside who can't get out, but who exactly that is remains a mystery. The 2025 roadmap reveals that the character will come from the film Peter Panwith the most common theories of Captain Crook, Dean Bell or Peter himself. This update could mean a return to the game's main storyline, which was put on hold in 2024 to focus on introducing new Kingdoms and characters. Players will finally learn why The Forgotten captured someone in Skull Rock and what their release means for the Valley.
The roadmap only covered the first half of 2025; it's likely that there will be a few more updates in the second half of the year. The new roadmap is likely to be unveiled sometime this summer.
Vale's storybook story will reach its epic conclusion
Also coming in the summer of 2025 – although an official release date has yet to be confirmed – is the second half of The Storybook Vale, Disney's Dreamlight Valley second paid extension. At the end of the first part of the story, Princess Aurora was still missing and Maleficent had unexpectedly disappeared. In the second part of the expansion, both characters will likely be added as permanent residents of the village, and will also conclude the story of the ink that litters the valley and the waning powers of the Keeper of Knowledge.
Star Trek, events and more
In addition to major content updates, Disney's Dreamlight Valley will continue to feature regular Star Paths where players can complete various tasks to earn moonstones, clothing and furniture rewards, and more. The latest Star Trek, Frost and the Fairies, has added additional bonus missions for even more rewards; it is currently unknown if future star treks will continue this pattern.
Spring will likely see a repeat of the annual Eggstravaganza event, where players can collect and collect eggs in the Valley. Other events almost certain to take place in 2025 include a Halloween celebration and the Gift of Giving holiday theme. However, it has not been confirmed whether Dreamlight Parks Fest and End of Summer, which debuted in 2024, will return or be replaced by entirely new events. It is also possible that Disney's Dreamlight Valley may include limited-time events dedicated to 2025 films, for example zootopia 2, live action/CGI remakes Snow White and Lilo and Stitch, or Pixar Elio.
