The Sims 4 Life and death added some pretty interesting features to the game. To acquire each Trait, gamers must either select it during Create-a-Sim Sim creation, complete Aspirations and unlock reward Traits, or even complete certain in-game actions to access them.

Each trait gives Sims their own personality, and others even give useful bonuses. However, some fall short of expectations and feel shallow. This list ranks the seven traits that have been added The Sims 4 with the Life and Death expansion pack.

6 Skeptical

Rejecters of the afterlife

In a world filled with ghosts, it makes sense to have some skeptical Sims in the middle of it. While many of the Sims in Ravenwood are actually Ghost Sims and can be seen at all hours of the day, Skeptical Sims refuse to believe that they are real. This can lead to unique interactions between ghosts and skeptical Sims, and even make for a great family scenario.

Although there is some cross-pack compatibility with Skeptical Sims, as they refuse to believe in other occultists in The Sims 4there aren't many game options for these Sims.

5 Terrible

Embrace the dark side of life

Macabre Sims are the complete opposite of Skeptical Sims, so they will undoubtedly clash when put in a room together. While skeptical sims deny the existence of ghost sims, creepy sims always get happy moodlets when they're around ghosts and the Grim Reaper.

These Sims love all things dark, morbid, and related to death, so they really enjoy researching and upgrading their thanatology skills in The Sims 4 and have a unique way of dealing with what life throws at them.

4 Grimborn and the Dark Descendant

When a Sim tries to have a baby with the Grim Reaper The Sims 4the offspring will be born with the Grimborn trait. This trait not only gives Sims an exclusive feature in the form of a braid under their left ear, but also increases their lifespan.

While the Grimborn trait gives this strange scar and extends life, the Darkspawn aren't so lucky. Sims with the Dark Scion trait do not receive any of these bonuses. They do have traits as they are still linked to the Grim Reaper, but it's just for show.

3 Ghost Whisperer

A reward for ghost historians

The Ghost Historian quest was introduced The Sims 4 with the Life and Death expansion pack. After completing the stages of the Ghost Historian quest, a Sim will be awarded the unique Ghost Whisperer trait.

In addition to unlocking exclusive interactions related to otherworldly discovery and exploration, the Ghost Whisper trait makes it much easier for Sims to connect with the other side of life. This means Sims won't have as much trouble forming friendships and romantic relationships with ghosts.

2 Haunted by death

Live life to the fullest

While the “Death Chase” may seem like an exclusively negative trait, this isn't always the case. During the Life and Death live stream, The Sims team revealed that the Death Chase trait was intended to work similarly to the quests in Build mode; somewhat negative traits that add an interesting twist to a Sim's daily life.

Risky interactions are more likely to be fatal for Sims with Death Chase. However, they can more easily complete their Bucket List and Soul's Journey because they live life to the fullest knowing that they can meet their death at any moment.

1 Burning soul

Reward for another life

The Life and Death expansion pack introduced Bucket Lists The Sims 4allowing players to fulfill all their most exciting life goals and unfinished business in the afterlife. Sims who complete all stages of the Soul Journey, fully completing their roster, have the option to be reborn as another Sim, and they also gain the Burning Soul trait in that other life.

Sims who have acquired the Burning Soul trait can recall certain traits, attributes, skills, and even Sims from their past lives. So when they are reborn, they look a lot like their past selves.
