This article contains spoilers from the Shinjuku Jujutsu Kaisen Showdown arc.
Jiu-jutsu Kaisen is an incredibly popular manga that is currently nearing the end with only a few chapters left. As the story started to wrap up, there was a new popularity in Japan and it was definitely a good idea to find out how the fans felt about all the characters.

Kaisen Jiu-Jitsu: The 18 Strongest Sukun Abilities
Sukuna is arguably the most powerful character in Kaisen Jujutsu and here are some of his most powerful abilities.
The various character arcs in the story have developed a lot, and with that some characters have cemented themselves as favorites while others have lost favor. Here are 10 of the most popular JJK characters based on the 4th popularity poll.
10 Toji Fusigura
Sorcerer Killer
Toji Fusigura is definitely one of the most popular characters and a popular antagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. In the current Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, Toji, Megumi's father, is already dead. He was an antagonist during the Past Gojo arc.
Like Maki, he has no damn energy. However, that doesn't stop him from being insanely powerful, as he nearly killed Gojo before his final defeat. Toji was even brought back during Shibuya before killing himself upon seeing his son Megumi. Despite how long he's been relevant in history, 10th place isn't bad at all.
9 Sukuna
The king of curses
Sukuna is the most powerful magician who ever lived and was the main villain in Jujutsu Kaisen. Sukuna is known as the King of Curses, and for good reason. His power was so incredible that it took most of the cast to finally destroy him.
Despite being the main villain, Sukuna is only ranked 9th, a position that seems pretty low for a character as important and relevant as him. Sukun doesn't seem to be that well liked, and with his death, fans are unlikely to like him anymore.
8 Nanami
A wizard of the first class
Nanami is a character who lost her life against Mahito during the events of Shibuya. However, prior to that, he played an important role as Yuuji's mentor and was generally a very popular character among the fans.
He ended up at #8, a well-deserved spot for a good character who died a few arcs ago.
7 Yuta Okotsu
Wizard, second only to Gojo
Yuta, the protagonist of JJK 0, is ranked 7th in the poll, a position that might actually seem pretty low for the major role he played in the story, especially against Sukuna.
Yuta was easily one of the main fighters to help take down Curse King Sukun, and his abilities are definitely some of the best in the show.
6 Choso
The most powerful picture of death
Choso ended up in 6th place, quite a high position. Even so, the gap to 5th place is staggering.
Choso is a much-loved character in the JJK as he is Yuji's brother and plays an interesting role in some parts of the story. In particular, the Chos' sacrifice to protect Yuuji could touch many fans.
5 Naoya Zenin
Prodigy Zenina
Naoya Zenin is the weirdest character on this list. Naoya is a character who is defeated by Maki Zenin and dies before a game of rebound. He returns as a vengeful spirit and Maki banishes him again. Despite this, Japanese JJK readers seem to have taken a liking to this rather unpleasant character.

Kaisen Jiu-Jitsu: Every Major Death in Shinjuku Showdown
Showdown in Shinjuku is a very intense arc with big deaths in JJK.
In fact, Naoya had almost twice as many votes as Choso, who ended up in 6th place. His high ranking in the JJK polls is nothing new, and it's something that continues to surprise JJK readers, especially when Maki isn't in the top 10.
4 Suguru Geta
Gojo's best friend
Suguru Geta is a fan-favorite character, despite being dead for most of the story and only seen alive in an arc covering Gojo's past, as well as JJK 0where he plays the role of the main villain.
Suguru was definitely one of the most interesting characters the show had to offer, especially with his relationship with Gojo and his ideals. He finished a good 4th, making him the most popular antagonist in JJK history.
3 Megumi Fusigura
One of the main characters
Megumi Fusigura is a character that remains very popular despite being absent for a large part of the final story arc. Megumi's body was taken over by Sukuna, and she did not participate in any battles against Sukuna after that.
Megumi has always been a very popular character, winning several previous popularity polls. Megumi's character was never used to its full potential, which is a huge waste and disappointment for his fans.
2 Yuji Itadori
Main character JJK
Coming in second place, the main character of the series, Yuji, is gaining popularity among fans. Yuji was well ahead of third place Megumi with about 20,000 more votes. This is the first time since the first JJK popularity poll that Yuuji has surpassed Megumi.
This may have something to do with his involvement in the final arc, where he is a heavy hitter against Sukuna, as well as Megumi's absence from the story.
1 Gojo Satoru
The strongest modern sorcerer
Unsurprisingly, the person who took the top spot in this popularity poll was none other than Gojo Satoru, a man so powerful that he almost managed to take down Sukuna on his own.
Gojo is the strongest modern magician who has won the hearts of many fans with his incredible strength and charming personality. He wins by a wide margin, with twice as many votes as Yuji. His death definitely hit fans the hardest, and readers are still hoping for his return.
