The Healer is the quintessential MMO role, and in Throne and freedom the healer is one of the most important members of any party. One of the problems with healers in MMOs is that they usually fall when it comes to completing solo content, but in T&L your base stats are reduced – meaning you can still do solo content even if you're going right into Wisdom for mana recovery. You will still deal a lot of damage with your Wand and Bow combo.
Throne and Freedom: The Complete Guide to Enchanting Gear
We say Javelin and Bow because that's the optimal Healer build we've found in the game, but Javelin/Staff are also viable. We'll be updating this guide with more information as we and other players get to grips with the game.
This is a build and progress guide for the healer in Throne And Liberty. We will update this guide with the endgame build.
This should be considered as a guide to building an alignment.
Assembling the healer's wand/bow
Let's delve into the best healer build we've found so far: Jazl and Luke combo.
Wand
This is the source most of your healing – but interestingly not all of them – and it also provides decent AoE clear for solo content.
The wand comes with two fantastic healing skills available from the start, perfect for healer level builds.
Quick healing |
A simple spell that restores the health percentage of selected allies. This can be repeated twice, quickly. The absolute core skill of any healing build. |
Saving Clay |
A large AoE heal that applies heals to all party members in the area of effect. This has a longer cooldown and should be used more sparingly. Could be the difference between wiping out in a dungeon or surviving. |
If you are in a group or guild that is active and completing content, you can start increasing the level of these healing skills as a priority.
If instead you're racing through single player content trying to level up as fast as possible while trying to win skill experience on the Wand, you might want to try increasing some of the damage-oriented Wand skills.
The main source of damage comes from Curse a debuff you inflict on enemies with a combination of your skills and your skills Perfect defense skill, chaotic shield.
A touch of despair |
Applies a Curse debuff on an enemy, can stack up to three times. This applies damage over time and a weakness debuff that increases your allies' damage against the target. |
Curse Blast |
Causes an explosion that deals additional damage to cursed enemies – i.e. increases the duration of the curse. |
Chaotic shield |
If you press a Perfect defense, chaotic shield inflicts Curse of Despair on all nearby enemies and reduces the cooldown of curse skills. |
The main rotation is to stack Touch Of Despair and then use Curse Explosion to clear groups of enemies together. Chaotic Shield provides additional AoE cleansing as well as healing when the skill turns into a “healing spell” on hit Perfect protection.
To get the wand, you want to go down
Recovery
skill tree, level up
Medical passives
– especially Devotion and Void, and focus on that
Mana recovery
gear and accessories. Mana becomes a problem if you spam skills.
Onion
So why is Luke such a good companion for Jasle? Mainly because it does a lot of single target damage to clear the contents on its own, but it also has range Support features that provide buffs and cleanses for your party.
Healing touch |
Gives a healing regeneration effect to allies, can stack up to 3 times. |
Nature's blessing |
Increases both health and mana regeneration and removes debuffs. |
Cleansing touch |
Removes a debuff from a target ally – If you successfully remove the debuff, you grant additional attack speed to that ally. |
Along with healing abilities we also accept An exciting arrow as this will root enemies in place and even for bosses that are immune to the trap they will instead be hit with Clamp debuff.
Level 50 healer build for PvE dungeons/bosses
Once you manage to hit level 50, you can start really customizing your builds. You can have up to three slots retained skills. This build is a pure healer build for PvE dungeons and group content.

Of course, this drastically reduces your output damage.
