In addition to this, Ivankov also seems to know a secret about the Crocodile that has not yet been revealed. The last time skip, no new information about the relationship between Luffy and Crocodile has been revealed, however, due to Crocodile's new status as one of the leaders of the Crusader Guild, more information about the character may be included in the Final Saga of the story.

From this small amount of information, some fans have come to the conclusion that Crocodile, one of the One Piece former warlord, Luffy's mother. First, these fans theorize that Crocodile was a woman during his time in the Revolutionary Army. Here Crocodile falls in love with Monkey D. Dragon, and the pair eventually gave birth to Luffy. Afterwards, Luffy is taken away from the dangerous life of the Revolutionary Army, where he is brought up by Garp and Dadan.
