A new teaser released on TOHO Animation's YouTube channel this Saturday after the final episode of season 7 revealed that the 8th and final season My Hero Academy The broadcast should take place sometime in 2025. The teaser came after an official statement confirmed the series' 8th season, as well as the staff that will be working on its production.
A brand new key visual was also revealed, depicting series protagonist Izuku “Deku” Midoriya in a battered state with his suit in tatters from participating in the climactic battle against Tomura Shigaraki. The upcoming 8th season will conclude the adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi's final manga arc, which ended in August after a 10-year serialization run. A short teaser can be seen below.

Along with the 2025 air date, the teaser also revealed some of the staff behind the production of the final season My Hero Academyincluding Kenji Nagasaki, who has been the series director since season 1 and served as the main director from season 4 onwards; directed by Naomi Nakayama; with serial composition by Yosuke Kuroda; character designs by Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima; the music score by Yuki Hayashi and of course the animation production by Studio Bones.
The cast includes Daiki Yamashita as Deku, Kent Miyake as Almighty, Koki Uchiyama as Tamura Shigaraki, Akio Otsuka and Hiroshi Kamiya as All for One, Ayane Sakura as Ochako Uraraki, Kaito Ishikawa as Tenya Iida, and Yuki Kaji as Todaroki Shoto. At the time of writing, the exact date of the premiere has not been announced. The broadcast of the final season is scheduled for 2025 My Hero Academy meaning the anime will be completed within a year of the manga ending.

Kohei Horikoshi My Hero Academy was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024, running 41 volumes. Produced by Studio Bones, the anime began airing in April 2016, and since then a new season of the series has been released every year.
