The strongest one-handed weapon in Stoneshard

During your journey in the kingdom of Aldor, you will encounter different types of enemies lurking around every corner. Fortunately, Stoneshard has a long list of weapons that you can take on your adventures and outsmart the enemies you encounter. These weapons are divided into different categories, from those that must be carried with both hands, to those that can be used to hit enemies from a safe distance.

Guard's sword

A major misconception among Stoneshard players is that one-handed swords aren't worth equipping simply because they don't do enough damage to be productive in combat, but the Guardsman Broadsword proves that wrong. Sure, the fumble chance that comes with it can be pretty scary, but it packs some of the strongest slashing damage in the game and has stats that can come in handy in a variety of situations.

From a significant chance to deal critical damage to making enemies bleed, there's a lot going on with the Guardsman's broadsword. It's important to note that you can't just buy it from the merchants present; the sword must be purchased from a boss chest in one of the late game dungeons.

If you don't want to carry a shield with your sword, try unlocking the Straight to Target skill from the Warfare tree; this will give you additional damage bonuses to make the guardsman's broadsword even more effective.

Knight's ax

Just as the two-handed knight options found in Stoneshard are some of the best to own, the tradition continues in the one-handed weapon space. While axes are already quite powerful, the Knightly Ax has incredible armor piercing capabilities and more. Rivaling even the unique one-handed axes in the game, the Knightly Ax makes perfect use of the critical damage bonus. Not only does it deal heavy damage to body parts on its own, but it also has a fruitful critical effect that serves as a great combo.

The only downside to using the Knight's Ax is that it requires too many skill energy points. But with a weapon as powerful as this one, you won't need much to completely devour your enemies.

Knight's flail

Maces are one of the strongest weapons available in Stoneshard, whether you need both hands to wield them or just one. Combined with the knight attributes, the knight flail stands out as an excellent choice when you want to deal maximum crushing damage and wreak havoc on your opponents. Of course, the main disadvantages of the weapon are relatively poor accuracy and a higher chance of fumble than desired. But considering it already has a pretty strong stun and crit chance, it works wonders if you manage to crit your enemies and get that sweet stun bonus.

Coupled with high durability, armor piercing, body part damage, and even a significant chance to swing as the cherry on top, the Knightly Flail is a worthy one-handed weapon against almost every enemy type.

Assassin's Dagger

When choosing to build a one-handed weapon in Stoneshard, daggers are some of the most interesting options you can go for. They may be much smaller than swords, but they more than make up for it with great features. There aren't many downsides to using the Assassin Dagger to get through Aldor. In addition to having more piercing damage than its unique counterparts, it also gets rid of the ability to grope with incredible accuracy to ensure that hits don't miss enemies.

When you consider this along with the effectiveness of the critical damage and the chance it provides, which only increases after critical hits, the Assassin Dagger will take you far thanks to its relatively high durability.

Try using the assassin dagger without a shield, but make sure you invest in your agility and evasiveness to avoid any danger.

Radiant sword

The biggest advantage of a one-handed build in Stoneshard is that you can also carry a shield in your other hand. But just in case you take a more offensive approach and decide to ditch the shield, it's important to keep your defenses under control as well. Fortunately, the unique Radiant Sword gives you the best of both worlds. Aside from the heavy slashing damage, there are a variety of ways it helps you defensively, from blocking and counter chances to power and recovery so you can avoid taking too much damage on your own.

Add in the holy magic attributes that come with it, and you have a powerful weapon that can kill your enemies and regenerate your own energy at the same time, making it one of the best one-handed swords in the game.

Baron Axe

Finding a one handed ax in Stoneshard that is not only strong but also doesn't require too much energy can be quite difficult. But the baron's ax deals very high burst damage and a much shorter cooldown, so both of these conditions are met perfectly. The ax also has the highest durability of any other weapon in its category, so you don't have to worry too much about it giving you out at any point in the game.

After all, groping is also something you want to avoid when fighting enemies, which can leave you open to attacks. The Baron ax avoids this problem and, combined with its ability to deal both armor and body damage, has all the qualities of a reliable weapon.

Voivode Bulava

If you don't want to keep switching weapons because they break on you, the Warlord's Mace has the highest durability in its category to carry you throughout the kingdom of Aldor. This makes it a tricky option that can be used against many types of enemies regardless of your level of play. Its durability pairs well with its offensive capabilities, dealing better armor piercing and body damage than one-handed axes can offer.

The only real downside to the weapon is that you'll need more skill energy to use it. But due to its stun and flimsiness in combat, your enemies will still barely get a chance to attack you, making the warlord's mace an excellent one-handed weapon.

Ceremonial Dagger

Daggers in Stoneshard mostly just deal stabbing damage, but the Ceremonial Dagger stands out in its category as one that can also deal magic holy damage, making it a nice weapon in a variety of situations. It also has the highest bleed chance of any dagger, and along with its accurate armor piercing and body damage ability, the Ceremonial Dagger demonstrates that its combat utility is as great as its artistic aesthetic.
