The PS2 could be getting its own LEGO set

A creative LEGO inspired set PlayStation 2 can be officially produced after sending to fans. The unique build will allow fans to create the legendary PS2 console from LEGO bricks, right down to the controllers and internal components.

Nintendo reveals release date for new LEGO set

The two franchises of Nintendo and LEGO are collaborating once again for several new themed sets that will be released later in January 2025.

A post by user RippleDrive on the LEGO Ideas website details plans for a LEGO PS2 set that has received enough support for the Danish company to officially consider it for mass production. If released, the set will allow PlayStation fans to not only build a PS2 console out of LEGO bricks, but also create its controllers, memory cards and internal components. In its current state, the set contains over 2,000 parts and is close to a 1:1 scale of the original slim PlayStation 2. While it's unclear if it will get Sony's approval, fans are crossing their fingers that the design will hit shelves sometime in the future shops According to RippleDrive, they decided to build the PS2 because it is their “favorite video game console of all time” and “video game-related LEGO sets have been successful.”
