Jiu-jutsu Kaisen ended relatively recently, and fans were somewhat pleased with the ending of the series, admitting that the ending itself felt rushed in many ways. There were a lot of unsatisfying moments left at the end, and some exciting details that the writers had established earlier were left unaddressed. Fans are now realizing the fact that the author suffered a lot in terms of his physical condition and dealt with many health problems.

However, this certainly does not mean that the author cannot further expand the events of the story in other ways. While some fans are hoping for a proper sequel, others believe that JJK will get an additional mini-series or at least a one-off at some point. While the odds of the series getting a sequel are close to zero, a one-shot or spin-off isn't too far-fetched an idea. In case the series ever gets a sequel, fans would be very interested to know what role the Gojo clan will play in the future and how the author will tell about them.

But it goes without saying that his treatment of many aspects of the story was inferior. The manner in which Gege extended the concept of the three big families was definitely not good, regardless of what the die-hard fans think. In reality, fans know very little about how the three clans work, especially the Gojo clan. The vast majority of this clan's prominence came from Gojo, who fans know as the face of the entire franchise. By taking Gojo out of the equation, fans don't know much about this clan, which is definitely a problem and shows that the world building in this particular series, where there are multiple factions and clans, is substandard.

What fans know about the Gojo clan is that they were one of the most important factions in Japan and at the same time they held a certain monopoly over jujutsu society. Because of Gojo, they enjoyed quite a bit of power and, in many ways, immunity as well. It shouldn't be hard for fans to understand the predicament the Gojo clan is in right now. JJK is definitely over, but fans can always discuss the politics of this world due to the aftermath of the great Shinjuku War. By far the biggest event in the Shinjuku showdown was the defeat and death of Gojo. Gojo fought Sukuna in a very exciting battle, and of course he was up against him in this fight.

In fact, in many cases, Gojo even had the upper hand in this battle, which simply showed his immense power. The fact is that Gojo was not only fighting Sukuna and his Cursed Shrine Technique, but also Megumi and his 10 Shadow Technique. Putting up with two of the strongest techniques was certainly too much for him at one point, and thanks to Mahorage, he was able to win this battle once and for all.

After his death, the other sorcerers rushed into the fray and essentially took care of Sukuna as well. It was Yuuji who finally defeated the Curse King for good and dealt him the final blow. Obviously, everyone was happy after the main battles were over JJK and that the vast majority of characters survived.

But at the same time, fans also need to see the aftermath of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. Gojo's death will change the world in a particularly big way, and fans know that means the ramifications for his family will be far-reaching. Sotoru was the leader of the Gojo clan, and with his death, the clan will need a new leader. Not only that, but a large portion of the Gojo Clan's power would be taken away from them now, essentially meaning that they would have to find alternatives one way or another.

What role can the Gojo clan play in the future of JJK?

The Gojo Clan could regain dominance

As mentioned earlier, fans know absolutely nothing about the Gojo Clan. They were one of the three great clans of the JJK in the world for quite some time, which means that Gojo was not the only source of their political influence and power. Certainly he gave them a great advantage, but without him they are not powerless. They must be some members of the Gojo Clan, who are quite powerful themselves, even without the use of the Six Eyes and the Limitless. At the same time, it must also be remembered that members of the Gojo clan will always have access to these special powers.

The trait known as “Six Eyes” will appear in someone else after Gojo's death because it must continue to manifest no matter what. Likewise, some of the other members of the Gojo Clan will eventually inherit the cursed Limitless Technique as well, and that is also inevitable. The most likely outcome here is that the Gojo clan will mainly try to continue their lineage by trying to produce a person with the Limitless or at the very least the Six Eyes. Giving birth to a person with both abilities would be very difficult considering that Gojo was the first in 400 years to possess both powers at the same time.

However, the Gojo family might get lucky and another individual born at the same time with the power of the Six Eyes and the Limitless might emerge. Even if they only possess one of these powers, it will still give them a huge advantage and at least save face for the clan politically.

It's also possible that the Gojo clan has other powerful members that fans don't know about. Regardless of when JJK continues, the author will need to elaborate more on the Gojo Clan and show fans exactly how it functions, especially after Satoru's death. In addition, fans will also get to see this extended family go up against others, possibly in an effort to seize control of the overarching jujutsu society and become the sole dominant power.
