Kaisen Jiu-Jitsu: Explaining the Gojo Ending
With JJK ending recently, many fans were unhappy with Gojo's ending in the story.
However, JJK's the ending doesn't change the fact that this has been a story fans have enjoyed for the last 6 or so years, some chapters kept them on the edge of their seats and others just blew them away. All intense action in JJK finally concluded with chapter 271 and now the story of these wonderful wizards has finally come to an end.
At the end, a new Curse user was revealed
- Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara battled the new curse user
- Yuji takes on Gojo's dream
Jiu-jutsu Kaisen chapter 270 introduced fans to a new curse user. This was another interesting addition by the author, but also calculated. At first, fans were completely confused as to why the author would introduce a new enemy just one chapter before the end of the story. However, later it finally became clear to fans why this is so. U JJK In chapter 271, this curse user was revealed to be a rather shy person who seemed to be upset that the woman didn't return his love. Because of this, he used his new powers to cause trouble in her life.
I expect great things from you when you join us! – Yuji Itadori
This bitter man was naturally fascinated by his behavior. It was quite surprising for the fans to see this man defeated so easily. However, fans later saw a flashback of Gojo where he entrusted everything to Yuji Itadora and showed him how to properly raise the next generation. Yuuji now used this moment to deliver a similar message to the man, letting him know that he expected great things from him in the future if he straightened up. This was a very exciting touch by the author, and it was simply meant to show that Yuuji is much more mature now than he was at the beginning of the series, and that even though the world is a much safer place now, Yuuji will need a powerful group around him to fight monsters that cross his path.
Gojo's dream passed to Yuji Itadora
Gojo is dead, but his dream lives on
Of course, you can't talk about anything JJK's ends without considering Gojo Satoru's character. Gojo is a face JJKand despite not being the main character, is easily the most popular. Gojo died in his battle against Sukuna in JJK chapter 236. It was an absolutely magnificent battle in which he fought with all his might. Unfortunately, all of this wasn't enough because Sukuna possessed the ability of not only his own cursed technique, but Megumi's ability as well. These two cursed techniques combined to give him an advantage over the strongest wizard in the world and essentially kill him.
Gojo's death is officially confirmed, but it's incredibly strange for the author not to acknowledge his death further into the story. In fact, every JJK character's life has been affected by Gojo in one way or another, and it's safe to say that he's at the center of everything. Not even mentioning Gojo properly during the last few chapters was definitely a failure on the author's part.
One of you must forget me and achieve a power different from mine. – Gojo
For what it's worth, in the last chapter of JJK, fans got to see Gojo Satoru again. In a flashback with Yuji where the two trained together. Gojo felt that he had absolutely nothing to fear because he knew that the generation that would come after him was capable and would reach a level similar to his, or even surpass him. While Yuuji found Gojo's behavior strange, to Gojo it was complete certainty.
Gojo knew that even if he lost the battle against Sukuna, the future of the world would be in safe hands. He then told Yuji that he expected great things from him in the future, and essentially Gojo's dream became Yuji's dream.

Jiu Jutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami finally confirms Urame's gender
Gege finally sheds some light on the question many fans have regarding Uraume's gender in JJK.
Gojo wanted the jujutsu order to change and fans saw that happen in real time over the last few chapters, especially when the higher ups were essentially wiped out while those trying to control the jujutsu hierarchy monopolized simple domain was also. Now, Gojo's dream is essentially close to coming true, but at the same time, fans can also conclude that it wasn't the best ending for him.
The legend of Ryomen Sukuna finally dies
Sukuna finally gets the meaning of love
Of course, then the character of Ryomen Sukuna also needs to be discussed. Sukun was handled well in the Shinjuku showdown arc. He went up against a lot of sorcerers and held his own incredibly well. Sukuna was definitely a force to be reckoned with in this battle and it's safe to say that the performance he put in was definitely worthy of the title he carries. In the end, Sukuna was defeated by Yuuji, and basically what was left behind was a single finger that shouldn't have had enough cursed energy to even manifest it. In fact, this finger has now become harmless and just served as a charm.
Sukuna was also seen in the afterlife where he looked back on his life and finally admitted that he was the way he was because he was an unlovable person. In the end, Sukuna concluded that if he had another chance, he would perhaps choose a different path, this time filled with love.
Meanwhile, other characters in the JJKsuch as Megumi and Nobara continued to work alongside Yuji Itadori. They are now the faces of Jujutsu High, and they continue to fight the cursed spirits while bringing peace to the world. Other characters such as Yuta, Maki, Toge, and Hakari, among others, continue their daily lives as if nothing happened, essentially serving as the end for JJK.
Sukuna's finger served as the last panel of the series, and it was essentially symbolic. Obviously, JJK's finale wasn't as good as fans wanted it to be, but it certainly wasn't the worst. No sequel or spin-off has been announced for JJK at this time, but that could potentially change in the future, depending on what the author wants to do for his next project.
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.
