The rest of the king's loyal servants hid in the shadows in a new kingdom called the Wandenreich. There they waited patiently for their time to rise. They wrote a prophecy, a song about the return of their father and king: The Kaiser Gesang.

Nine years ago, Quincy King awoke and, to regain his power, performed the Auswählen. A ritual in which he forcibly drains the power from a Quincy he deems unworthy or impure. With this, he took the life of Masaki Kurosaki, who had hollow reiatsu. And Kanae Katagiri, half-breed Quincy and mother of Uryu Ishida. After that, the process of fully restoring his powers began, and after nine years, he was finally able to open his eyes, activating his true ability: The Almighty.
