Everyone likes to be a hero, but sometimes it's fun to be a little bad. This is where anti-heroes come in. One person with flaws in the right place can turn them into the hero of a story. The games below go even further and involve an entire team fighting against the odds.

Some of these teams have great qualities that show them as complex characters doing their best in an evil world while also battling their own personal demons. Other times, they're just bad people, who could just as easily be the villains in someone else's story if the players took someone else's point of view.

It's a shame the game went this way because the bits of goodness are evident in some cutscenes.

Controlling Suicide Squad while them taking out the members of the Justice League is a cool idea and a nice subversion of expectations as the next step for Arkham universe The team's personality is evident in many cinematographies. It's just a shame it's wrapped up in the name of a live service.

There's nothing wrong with live-action games, but it's not what most fans of story-driven single-player games are. Arkham games needed for the following actions.

Gang of Saints Row excels at capturing cities and overthrowing alien empires

The Saints Row games evolved from a Grand Theft Auto-turned the open-world game into an amusing spectacle that parodied games and pop culture with sweetly understated humor. At the center of it all were the titular Saints, a gang that rose from the dirty streets right into the White House.

In the first two games, the Saints, along with the player-created protagonist, are more ruthless and unrelenting. The third installment takes the series into an exaggerated reality and adds much more humor to the criminal entrepreneur, and jumps to the fourth game, where players are literally the president of the United States killing aliens. Yes, it is safe to assume that these are good guys.

With a narrative as flexible as Baldur's gate 3the party can go in a completely heroic direction or become completely evil maniacs. However, this RPG is smarter than most games, and many options fall into a narrative gray area that more often than not turns the group leader and the rest of the team into anti-heroes.

Many of the characters individually have traits in common with anti-heroes. Lae'zel comes from a fierce race of disciplined and steadfast warriors, Astarion is a wanton vampire with desires typical of mythological creatures, and Shadowheart worships a dark goddess.

Although this is the third game in the series, Baldur's gate 3 can be played as a standalone title without confusing newbies.

The main characters of these two games are violent criminals with zero moral and social qualities. However, they are the stars and players control them as they make their way through the underworld, indiscriminately leaving a trail of bodies in their wake.

Lynch is also clearly dealing with intense psychological issues. Although the gameplay is dated, they are still fun to play because of their unwavering commitment to the brutality and unlikeability of the main character. Both games are also fully playable in co-op.

The fifth main game in this legendary series introduces the mechanism of having multiple protagonists. Each of them engages in a life of crime, but for different reasons and at different stages. Franklin is looking for a better station in life, Michael is looking for meaning and purpose to escape a comfortable but boring life in the witness protection program, and Trevor is just a psychopath.

In the course of the story, they deal with all kinds of criminals. What sets these three apart from many other gangsters, both street and corporate, is their honesty. A character like Devin Weston is a greedy backstabber, while the FIB stoops as low as the heroes but tries to justify it in the name of the greater good.
