The highest level of materials for the manufacture of metals in Guild wars 2orichalcum is a rare and expensive ore used to make weapons and armor. Along with other farms like the sluice pipe, selling your stack daily can help you accumulate a small amount in gold. Although they can be found all over the world, including in rich variety, orichalcum nodes are limited and appear sporadically throughout Tyria. However, there are a few rich nodes that can be mined once per day and are guaranteed to spawn in the same location.

Path of Fire is required to obtain all of these nodes, as are PoF mount abilities. All nodes can be found with the expansion pack, but the scale of Season 4's sky makes it much easier to collect. Gathering is always made easier by skills that grant invisibility, and a thief, mesmer, or engineer (with the scrapper elite specialization) make ideal candidates for stealth loot.

Crystal Oasis – The southern edge of Amnun, lair of vultures

In the vulture's lair on the outskirts of town

Starting at the Amnoon Waypoint, exit the east gate and head southeast. On some rocky platforms, on the far right side of the rocky wall, is the entrance to a mining area with some vulture veterans.

Dispatch them or avoid them and find a rich orichalcum node on the right side. In addition to this relatively close rich node, there are many single orichalcum ore nodes in and around Amnun, but unlike the vultures in the mine, their location in the desert is different.

Crystal Oasis – Gorge of Destiny

Climbing and in Forge-Held Mines

• Recommended mounts: Sand jackal

Starting at the Destiny's Gorge waypoint, head north. Walk along the river and turn right. Go up the ramps and go up to the left, into the mines filled with powerful forged enemies. Follow the rising cart and go left.

At the end of this track is a rich orichalcum node. After collecting all the ore, consider grabbing the quartz crystal that can be found nearby on the other side of the cave. From the sky scale, it is easy to reach a node of rich quartz crystal above a mine that was teeming with forged ones, above and to the west.

Crystal Oasis – Elona Reach, Temple of Cormyr

From the circular platform surrounding the Temple of Cormyr point, run north. With the sky scale, climb straight up the cliff using the village buildings. Without the sky scale, follow the road east and turn west at the top.

Beware of the forged traps and snipers above, as they can take down even the best of them quickly Guild wars 2 players from their beautiful mounts. A large tree overlooking the temple of Cormyr, guarded by dust mite veterans, hides a rich orichal knot.

Desert Highlands – Highjump Ranch

A hop and a short flight from the ranch

This rich orichalcum nodule can be found east of Highjump Ranch. From the waypoint, climb as high as you can before heading south through the air. The second step, in addition to the long plateau, is guarded by old jacarandas.

Jacarandas have crowd control abilities and can dash quickly, but behind the tree they guard is a rich node. Sometimes a solitary orichalcum can be found on the plateau above.

Desert Highlands – Brightwater

Mining the middle of the mushroom-shaped plateau

• Recommended mounts: Springer or Griffon

On the world map, this rich orichal node looks very close to the Brightwater waypoint, but there is quite a vertical climb between it and the prize. The best way up is to the north, along the steep ledges. From there, turn back and find a way to jump onto the mushroom-like platforms.

The larger of the two contains a rich node, but is guarded by a veteran dust mite. Submit it and start mining. With a flying mount like Skyscale, one can follow the narrow plateau to the north for a rich orichalcum node that could otherwise be flown to from Highjump Ranch.

The Desolation – Sand Jackel Run

The run to this vein is relatively easy, but snakes, insects, and patrolling Awakened can make collecting difficult. From the Sand Jackel Run Waypoint, go east through the sulfur on the skimmer to the dark dome.

The dome on the map represents a floating tower, and directly below it is a rich orichalcum vein. The snake will shoot projectiles from afar, and any other nearby enemies can be deadly. There is also a common orichal knot to the north that is worth checking out.

The wasteland is the lair of the forgotten

From the Forgotten Point lair, go northeast down the valley beyond the gate. Follow the winding road to the sulfur pit, but keep to the left.

A vein rich in orichalcum is located on the black rocky slope of the hill. Guarding the prize will be either a veteran sand eel or ghostly hyenas.

Wasteland – Bonestrand

The secret of the great waterfall

• Recommended mounts: skimmer and sand jackal (required)

Starting at the Bonestrand Waypoint, at the top of The Desolation against the Bone Wall against the Ilon Riverlands, go straight east across the water, a natural land bridge, then the lake, to the waterfall.

Using the sand jackel, climb up the mountain and look for the sand portal among the waterfalls. Use the jackal's stylish teleportation power to blink into the cave where the statue of Abaddon is (Guild wars 2lost and tentacled god of mysteries) stands and watches. To the right of the statue is a node.

Wabby Domain – Sanctuary of the Sunspear

Two rich nodes to the northeast and southwest

• Recommended mounts: Griffin or Skyscale

This node is easier to reach with the Spearmarshal's Plea gizmo, which can be acquired during the quest to unlock the gryphon (but unfortunately cannot be re-obtained once destroyed).

Without the Spearmarshal's request, the best place to start is the Market Ruins waypoint to the left of Brand's Scar, and from there to the Spearmarshal's Element point of interest. The rich vein is on the southern road in the far southeast part of the map.

Wabby's Domain is a necropolis, at the foot of the crypt

Stealth skills are highly recommended to mine Orichalcum Ore in this location. The fastest way is through the Necropolis point. Climb up the huge building in the southwest with the red dome.

Find the stairs down to the back. Underneath the spiral staircase is another way down to The Crypts attraction. Try to find the lowest part without incurring the wrath of the undead. At the very bottom, down the slope, is a very powerful Awakened Abomination. Inconspicuously pass by and catch the ore.

This place demands Guild wars 2The Living World Season 4 episode Long Live the Lich, as well as the Path of Fire expansion. Take off from Dabjaji Waypoint and head into the mountains across the bridge.

Once you reach the mountains, go up and to the left where a couple of vultures are sitting. A rich orichalcum node is located on one of the small high platforms. On top of the mountain nearby is a rich mithril vein.
