Being one of the favorite characters ever since Honkai Star RailIn the release, Tingyun joins the roster as a 5-star Nihility character under the name Fugue, following a trend similar to Dan Heng's transformation into Imbibitor Lunae or the upcoming alternate version of Herta. While Fugue has changed her path and element, she has kept a relatively support-oriented role, although this time around she caters more to Break DMG-oriented teams with characters like Firefly, Rappa, or Boothill. This shift significantly differentiates her build from other Fire Nihility units such as Jiaoqiu or Guinaifen, who fill different roles within the team.

The 7 best JRPGs where you level up your attacks and skills, ranking
Character leveling is a key component of most JRPGs, rewarding players the more they grind and improving character customization.
This discrepancy is also evident in her light cone options, as the Fugue enjoys a unique, if somewhat limited, selection. Fortunately, players will find that some of the available F2P options suit her needs well, making it possible to build her efficiently without having to rely on her signature cone of light in Honkai: Star Rail.

Increases the hit rate of the effect by 40%. When the wearer attacks enemies that have reduced DEF, restores 8 energy. |
Effect hit rate isn't as critical for Fugue as it is for some other characters, but keeping an effect hit rate around 60-70% is still valuable to make sure she can reliably apply DEF reduction to high level enemies. For players looking for a completely F2P option, Before starting the training mission is a great choice for those who don't want to invest heavily in Fugue while avoiding the need to equip a Relic of the body's main Effect Hit Rate.
With enough hit rate, Fugue will be able to consistently apply DEF reduction and generate energy on its own. However, it's worth noting that this cone of light doesn't provide any additional team utility, which puts it below the other options on this list.

Increases the wearer's damage effect by 32% and increases their damage to enemies hit by shock or wind shear by 32%. This also applies to DoT. |
A slightly better F2P option for Fugue Fermataas it provides the burst effect characteristic that Fugue needs around 220% or more to maximize its support potential. Equipment Fermata helps get rid of having to focus too much on reaching that threshold through relic substats. However, the second part of c Fermat the effect isn't particularly useful for Fugue, as she usually doesn't match up with DoT-oriented characters like Kafka or Black Swan. Instead, she excels on teams with Hypercarry units, where she focuses on Break DMG enhancement rather than DoT synergy.

Increases the wearer's burst effect by 40%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases the DoT inflicted by the wearer by 48% for 2 turn(s). When a target enemy suffering from a DoT inflicted by the wielder is defeated, restores 6.0 energy to the wielder. |
Single treatment is relatively on par with Resolution shines like pearls of sweat in terms of Fugue's own damage potential, especially due to the increased burst effect. However, since it doesn't directly benefit the DMG team, it falls behind Resolution shines like pearls of sweat (S5) as part of the Hypercarry team. However, Single treatment can still be a useful option for those looking for a strong F2P pick, especially as a great stat stick due to its higher stats as a 5 star Cone of Light.

If the wielder hits an enemy and if the hit enemy is not already trapped, then there is a 100% base chance to be trapped. Captured enemies' DEF is reduced by 16% for 1 turn(s). |
While not quite F2P like the previous options on the list, Resolution shines like pearls of sweat is the best 4-star Light Cone for Fugue, especially if players can max it. This cone of light gives the team additional benefits by further lowering enemies' defenses and applying a unique debuff that may come in handy in certain situations. However, if players don't have it in S5, it may be more beneficial to focus on the F2P options mentioned earlier.

Increases the user's burst effect by 60%. When an enemy target's Weakness shatters, there is a 100% base chance to inflict the Charred condition on them, increasing the Shatter Damage they take by 18%, lasting 2 turn(s). This effect can be 2 times. |
Being Fugue's signature light cone, A long road leads home this is undoubtedly her best option. However, it's not as important as some light cones for other characters, e.g Acheron or Boothill. This is because its main benefits are an additional burst effect and some team-wide buffs. These boosters, while useful, aren't as significant as the ones it provides Resolution shines like pearls of sweatmeaning that players are generally better off focusing on Fuga's eidolons if they want to invest in her going forward, or save resources for future characters.
