12 Penking
Royalty at the start of the game
- Watered 2
- Manual work 2
- Mining 2
- Cooling 2
- Transport 2
Penking it's an amazing early game helper. It can perform many different tasks and is fairly easy to obtain early in the game.
The fastest way to grab this Pal is in the gated realm northwest of the starting area. If you have one, it will mostly be used for water supply, manual labor, and mining. While he can cooldown and transport, he prioritizes his other tasks over them, so players will rarely see him helping with those tasks.
It will be one of the best mining buddies in the early stages as it has a level 2 mining and will keep it going until fuel or manual work is needed.
11 Jormuntide
The best watering can
Jormuntide has the highest watering stat in the game, making him the best friend for every watering job. Also, it's pretty easy to hit mid-game, as it's also a field boss found in the lake northwest of the Plateau of Beginnings. However, it has two drawbacks – its large size can make some quests unplayable if players aren't careful with how they build their base, and if there aren't any watering quests, Jormuntide won't have much to do.
This is usually a worthwhile trade-off, as Jormuntide will usually have a lot of work to do. Players can take on a large number of fuel jobs, such as producing a large volume order of items in crushers and mills, or simply having a large number of farms that are constantly in need of water. .
10 Leylin
The best landing buddy
- Landing 4
- Manual work 3
- Collection 2
- Medicine 3
Leylin is the best planting buddy in the late game because he's also the only one with planting level 4. Because his stats also have harvesting built in, Leylin can also be a farm workhorse, planting crops quickly and harvesting them later without distraction.
However, unlike Jormunthid, when there isn't a lot of planting or gathering work, Leylin has a few other tasks she can do. Since it has Medicine 3 and Handiwork 3, Leylin can be a great time saver by helping the player craft these items much faster. In particular, Handiwork 3 also means that when Leylin is done with all his farm work, he can jump onto the assembly line and help produce items there.
9 Knock
Useful all-rounder
- Collection 3
- Mining 3
- Transport 4
Knocklem is an extremely useful sidekick to have on any base. It's one of three buddies in the game that has Transport 4, making it one of the best transport buddies for this stat alone. When used on a mining base, Knocklem can use mining 3 and transport 4 to decent effect, but his focus will mostly be on mining tasks unless he already has friends assigned to his workstation.
At a base without a mining job, Noclem becomes a useful companion for gathering plants and then transporting other material to where it needs to be.
8 Gelzephyr
Flying conveyor
For players who are tired of looking at loose items in their base, Gelzephyr is the go to pal for transporting materials where they need to be. The reason for this is that the Helzephyr doesn't do anything other than carry items and as a result can't be distracted by other work.
While it has a lower transport rate than Knocklem, it will end up moving and carrying more items for a longer period of time due to several factors. It won't stop to do other work, it can fly to hard to reach places, it's smaller than Knocklem and it's nocturnal so it won't sleep and work all night.
7 Blasmouth and Blasmouth Ryu
How much a Interball world as for the base, there is very little difference between the two Blasmouth and his new cousin Blazemouth Ryu. Both have the same suitability for work and similar enough characteristics to have similar performance on farms.
But what makes these two friends amazing is their high level of booty and fire. There is no other friend but Astegon can be compared to these two when it comes to mining, which in turn makes them ideal for late game mining like farming a lot of Sulphur. Level 3 arson puts them above most other fire friends when it comes to completing these tasks. Since these buddies only have two job qualities, it's also easy to keep them in whichever job the player needs at the time.
6 Vanurim
Mid game MVP
Capture of a Vanwyrm is the perfect friend to help the base transition from early game roots to mid game economy. Vanwyrms are a fantastic flying jumper for map adventures and a strong friend in any list, but Vanwryms are also valuable for their contribution to the player base.
Transport 3 means that Vanwyrm will help automatically store and move materials in chests. Then, when a kindling needs to be performed, the Vanwyrm can pause the transport of materials to complete the kindling. Since Vanywrym is both a pilot and a decent little buddy, he can get to almost any job on the base without being blocked by other buildings. However, once the player starts entering the late game, Vanwyrms can be safely replaced with a better Kindling pal or Helzephyr for a more stable transport.
5 Jormuntid Ignis
Kindling Pal's best late game
For players looking for a best friend to simply fire up, they need look no further Jormuntid Ignis. He has the highest kindle stat of any friend in the game, and since he has no other quests, he will only do kindle quests. The only downside to this buddy is its large size. Players need to be aware of their building placement when figuring out how to best do the job of igniting with Jormuntide Ignis.
As a result of its size and amazing kindling stat, Jormuntide Ignis is best used for bases that require continuous kindling.
4 Faleris and Ragnahawk
Convenient size for lighting and transportation
For bases where there is only a couple of kindles, or for tight bases where Jormuntide Ignis just won't do, Faleris and Ragnahawk are the best choice to use. Both of these are direct improvements on the humble Vanwyrm and both are smaller than the Jormuntide Ignis. Whenever there are no kindling tasks, these two buddies will start hauling material to the warehouse, making them consistently useful to the player base at almost all stages of its development.
A fully condensed Faleris or Ragnahawk will have the same ignition characteristic as a non-condensed Jormuntide Ignis.
3 Vanwyrm Christ
The refrigerator's best friend
Vanwyrm Christ it is the ultimate cooling Pal because it is nocturnal and does not take breaks for sleep. This means that food stored in Vanwyrm Cryst-based refrigerators will never spoil.
If players need a stronger cooldown, it's always there Foxcicle and Frosty stallion. However, at some point both of these friends will need to sleep, and Frostallion is a big buddy that will need a lot of space to get to the fridge. Vanwyrm Cryst's ability to fly, small size, and nocturnal nature make it a more sustainable option compared to the other two, despite having a weaker cooldown than Frostallion.
2 Orserk
Electricity and transport if necessary
- Electricity production 4
- Manual work 2
- Transport 3
Having the highest rate of electricity production, Orserk is the best friend for powering anything the base might need. Whenever the generator is full, Orserk can help with manual labor or simply move items to chests and other storage areas. Its large size can sometimes get in the way, but generators can easily be placed in open areas where Orserk can easily access them.
1 Anubis
Best conveyor belt worker
- Manual work 4
- Mining 3
- Transport 2
Anubis has the highest rate of manual labor in palworld, which allows him to be the best worker on the assembly line. If a player needs a large amount of crafted items, Anubis (or a small Anubis army) is the perfect companion for the job.
Similar to Knocklem, this buddy can be useful in almost any base. For bases with a lot of mining quests, level 3 Anubis mining becomes quite useful as it can mine when the player has no manual. However, for non-mining bases, Anubis can switch between a transport companion and a crafting friend if needed. This flexibility makes Anubis such a useful companion for ranch work.
