The best consumables in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

Surviving the zombie apocalypse requires not only the most powerful weapons, but also items that can restore your health when you start to feel drained. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has plenty of food and drink to get you and your survivors back into the fray. Some items can be found in abundance, while others require a bit of work, but are well worth the effort.

So which foods will heal you the most, and which ones will do more than just restore a few blocks of health? It may be a zombie outbreak, but you can eat like a king at Willamette Parkview Mall if you know where to look. Here are eight of the best food and drink items in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

8 Milk

Simple but effective

Milk is one of the most common food items that can be found in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. This food item is everywhere in the mall and provides a pretty decent health boost. Sometimes they are taken out of boxes or can be found in empty stores.

Milk is very similar in size to orange juice and will even heal the same amount of four health blocks. You can find milk in abundance at Seon's Food and Stuff. Milk is also a vital ingredient for some of the best blended juices in the game. However, there are better options in terms of food and drinks.

7 Wine

Survive the epidemic with class

One of the coolest drinks in the entire game is wine. In the cafeteria, you'll find plenty of wine to use if you need a quick pick-me-up. You can also find an endless supply at Seon's Food and Stuff.

The wine will heal four blocks of health from Frank, but also has a secondary purpose. The two wines can be blended using a blender to produce a QuickStep Blended Juice. So whether you want to drink it directly or use it later to access one of the best mixed juices in the game, it's always handy to grab a bottle when you come across one.

6 Orange juice

The juice is loose

Coffee creamer and orange juice seem to heal four blocks of damage. However, this does not mean that they are equally useful. While you have to go to Sean's Food and Stuff for your endless supply of coffee creamer, orange juice is much more affordable.

There is an endless amount of orange juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. This makes it easy to stock up when you go scooping. In addition to this, supplies are placed next to the nectar blender and within jumping distance of the katana. That way, you can prepare properly in one visit.

5 Golden brown pizza

Place the pizza in the microwave

An easily overlooked detail that only Dead Rising veterans will remember is that frozen foods can be cooked to increase their effectiveness. This can be achieved by placing foods such as frozen vegetables in the microwave. One of the best foods you can do this with is frozen pizza, which turns into a golden brown pizza when cooked.

Pixel pizza never looked better. After just getting out of the microwave, you'll notice that it has a slightly different item pattern in your inventory. The pizza will also emit smoke to confirm that it is fresh and ready to eat for four health blocks.

4 A well done steak

A feast for the hungry

Another product that can be cooked is steak. If you put it in the microwave, you get a well-done steak. This product is one of the most healing staple foods without having to juice it first. Raw meat will heal three blocks, but once you cook it, a well-cooked steak will heal a full six blocks of health.

Is the Willamette Mall really the best meat in town? You will have to if you want to survive in infinity mode. Be sure to cook the meat raw, though, or you'll end up with spoiled meat that won't taste as good.

3 Nectar

The simplest mixed juice

Once you've gotten past the products that are readily available at the mall, it's time to turn your attention to blended juices. These are some of the best food and drink items you can get in the game, but they require a bit more effort than usual.

Nectar is by far the easiest mixed juice to make. You can make an infinite supply of nectar by using infinite spawn rate or orange juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. This juice acts as a dual item, as drinking it heals you for six health blocks and immediately gives you access to a queen to add to your inventory.

Two wines make a right

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Fleetfoot Mixed Juice.

Fleetfoot is another fantastic healing item. By the way, you can also mix this drink by putting two bottles of wine in a blender. Again, this mixed potion will heal you for six health blocks, but has a more beneficial effect than nectar.

Fleetfoot allows Frank West to travel faster on foot. This is an incredibly useful ability as it helps you get scoops faster when you find yourself in a time crunch. It's also a faster way than using a skateboard. So, if you're already going to drink some wine and have a few minutes to spare, throw it in a blender and turn it into this useful item.

1 Energizer

Perfect protection against psychopaths

Dead Rising's psychopaths can be some of the most unwieldy enemies if you want to stick to the timing. They can take a lot of damage and knock you down a few times before finally giving in.

The best way to deal with them is to have powerful items that can destroy them. However, if your level is not enough, they may be able to finish you off multiple times. The energizer will heal six blocks of health, but will also make you invincible for a limited time. This could be just what you need to take on some of the toughest bosses in the game.
