The Terror of Greatness fades
Now that's disappointing. After the first episode, Uzumaki: Spiral into horror it seemed like it was set to break Junji Ito's anime curse by finally delivering an adaptation that does some degree of justice to the source material. Deciding to replicate the visual style of the manga, Uzumaki featured perhaps the scariest 20 minutes of the past few years, filled with nightmarish imagery that veered towards both space and body horror. While it's by no means perfect or a replacement for Ito's legendary manga, the first series is very good and worth checking out.

Top 5 Horror Anime Like Uzumaki
Fans of Junji Ito's work who enjoyed Uzumaki and want to watch something scary will want to check out these series.
unfortunately Uzumaki experienced one of the sharpest and fastest drops in quality in anime history. While the first episode calmed people's fears that this was going to be another Junji Ito adaptation, the second episode amplified and amplified them, to the point where it destroyed much of the show's momentum or hype. Moments that should be scary have been stripped of their menace, becoming funny in the process. Even outside of the lackluster animation, the pace of the story is also too fast, resembling a ridiculous version of the source material. To be fair, the first episode has this problem as well, but its successor is far worse.
7 365 days until the wedding
A unique romantic anime about two clumsy people who have to fake an upcoming marriage
Based on the manga by the same author A world that only God knows, 365 days until the wedding takes a special look at marriage, revolving around two co-workers who decide to pretend they're engaged to reduce the chances of their employer moving them to Alaska. Rika and Takuya struggle with communication, to the point where almost no one at their work really knows them (or even their voices). The work environment and adult cast instantly set the show apart from most other anime novels, and those aren't the only unusual elements.
Now Rika and Takuya don't like each other right away. The pragmatism of the former keeps both the latter and the audience at a distance; meanwhile, Takuya's low-key personality is relatable but not captivating. However, they both start out as fully realized characters 365 days does an excellent job of immediately identifying their tendencies, insecurities and comfort zones.
Like a warm blanket on a cold night
While not the biggest sequel to Fall 2024, Natsume's Book of Friends it's a much-welcomed return, especially after Season 6 ended its airing in 2016. This series, which is a typical supernatural story, revolves around Natsume, a teenager who can see youkai and inherits his grandmother's Book of Friends, which holds the names of spirits and by extension controls them. So, Natsume decides to start returning these names to their owners, all the while being helped by Madara, a powerful youkai who is in a rather weak form at the moment.
Natsume's Book of Friends is one of the greatest iyashikei life stories of all time, and season 7 looks set to maintain the high quality of its predecessor. Moving at a refreshingly languid pace, the anime is comforting, entertaining and (at times) emotive, making it the perfect companion to many of Fall 2024's high-octane thrill rides.

A few months after the untimely death of Akira Toriyama, the last project of the legendary mangaka, Dragon Ball Daimafinally started airing. So far it's fantastic. Wonderfully animated and imbued with a timeless whimsy that evokes Dragon ballearly sagas, Dime has all the makings of a modern classic with the perfect blend of adventure, action and comedy that not every storyline in this (generally excellent) franchise manages to do.

A rare sports and romance anime in both genres
One of the most long-awaited Anime autumn 2024, Blue box got off to a flying start, thanks in part to Telecom creating stunning visuals during the opening episode. While the story is made up of fairly familiar parts, the story stands out because it combines elements of sports and romance, two genres that occasionally interact but rarely share the spotlight evenly.
Taiki has a huge crush on Chinatsu and is inspired to take badminton seriously after seeing the latter's passion for basketball. Out of nowhere, he suddenly gets the chance to bond with Chinatsu as the two end up living under the same roof. Blue box is built around not only likable characters, but ones that have quite a bit of chemistry, and that goes beyond just the main two. Taika's friendship with Kyo and Hina is also great and brings a lot of laughs.
Isekai's best anime is back for another (hopefully) great season
Re: ZERO can be polarizing. Subaru is a frustrating protagonist for most of Season 1, though he improves by reflecting on his behavior and showing more self-awareness. Although season 2 is fantastic overall, it threatens to get stuck at some points, especially during the long dialogues in part 2. Still, on the subject of isekai, this anime is ambitious, smartly written, well-animated and loves frequent bursts of unsettling darkness.
Adaptation of volume 5 of the light novel series, Re: ZERO season 3 sends Subaru, Emilia, and several other characters to Priestella. This journey is prompted by an invitation sent by Anastasia, a candidate for the King's Choice who seeks to claim the throne ahead of Emilia and a couple of other girls. It seems that the current storyline needs to be fleshed out Re: ZEROthe political situation in Russia, with five candidates featuring prominently in the (90-minute) introductory episode. With the exception of Emilia, the rest of the girls will benefit greatly from further research, something that has already been proven with Priscilla.
However, the main focus of Season 3 is the arrival of a familiar danger that threatens everyone in Priestel, and Subaru soon finds himself in another cycle of Death's Return. Re: ZERO has always known how to balance levity with gritty tragedy, a talent that was beautifully showcased in the long first episode of the Fall 2024 arc.
A fun comedy with great action and characters
Except maybe Uzumaki, Dandadan is the most hyped new anime of Fall 2024; in fact, the first three episodes even got a theatrical release, just to highlight the adaptation's momentum. While still early days, Science Saru seems to have fully captured the magic of the manga, creating arguably the best debut episode of 2024. Dandadan oozes irresistible kinetic energy, brought to life with a fluid art style and explosive animation that's perfect for both slapstick and offbeat action.

The arc of redemption continues
In 2012 Art Bleach anime faded into oblivion, ending nearly a decade that had peaked early and waned. While the series was pretty good overall, the series seemed to be a footnote in the history of battle shounen, at least from the anime side of things. However, Piero decided to revive Ichigo and shut down the manga A thousand-year bloody waran attempt that was redone Bleachimage and produced perhaps the most consistent batch of action content of the 2020s.
Conflictaka Part 3, continues the Soul Society's war with Qunica, starting with two stunning battles that deliver stunning visuals, unique abilities, and shocking moments. to be honest A thousand-year bloody war so brilliant that the sequel should be recommended as a standalone animation showcase to those who have no intention of watching the original Bleach.
