History of a bitter monster south of Midnight's Honey Island Monster and Altamaha-Ha explained
Risking everyone for the possibility of a better life
Long before South of the northHaisl becomes a weaver, the woman nicknamed Aetunde and her baby baby lived aboard a cruise ship, which was floating around the Boas. Ayotund worked in serving on the ship and longed for the life of freedom for her and her child. She heard rumors about the secret village in the nearby battles that could become a safe shelter and decided to jump from the deck of the ship – the baby crashed tightly – in an attempt to find it.
Contrary to all the chances, Aetunde and her child managed to get to the murky shores of the swamps, but they were far from safe. The crew of the ship was hot in heels, and trying to evade them, she hid the baby in the eve tree and took them away. But when Ajotund returned to the tree, she found her baby.
The despair turns into despair
Ayotund began to clean every inch of the swamp to find his missing baby, throwing dirt in despair around her. Although she never found what she was looking for, Ajotund refused to stop the search. After all, the marsh magic turned it into an altamach-ha, a giant creature similar to a mermaid.
In its new form, Altamaha-Ha sought to retaliate the ships and its crew. Seeing the monster approach, the ship's captain directed the boat that allowed the Altamakha-ha to break it apart. But the revenge was not enough for the Altamakha-ha, she wanted to bring her back to the baby. For decades, Altamakh-ha continued his desperate and barren search.
Altamakha-Hae comes from Georgia's folklore and is usually reflected as a snake similar to a sea creature.
The final end of the bitter
After the baby's baby remained in the highlighted tree, he was accepted by a magic plant, where he was stored for a while. In the end, Mahal, a weaver of a secret village, found a plant and returned the baby back. The child grew rapidly, and the older, the more unnatural features began to sprout. For just a few years, the baby was covered with moss and vases, and his skin turned into a tree bark.
When Mahalia is gone, the boy – now the nickname of honey – remained wandering around the swamp alone. Through the years, during the events South of the northHistory, Haisl directs honey back to Altamakha-Ha, who has never captured her baby's search. Both hug and they turn into their spiritual versions. Together, they go hand in hand to the afterlife.
