The Ghost Season rerun came at an unfortunate time. With rumors about Mortal Kombat 1 DLC cancellation, concern for the future of the game is high. Around the same time, the game launching its first season of invasions only adds to those worries. Of course, this is by no means a guarantee that the original invasion seasons have come to an end. At the same time, the timing of this season's launch couldn't have been worse. With luck, these events are just coincidences Mortal Kombat 1 will soon be able to produce new seasons of invasions.
