It was an extremely eventful Sunday for Windbreaker at an event held on Sunday, October 13, a new trailer, teaser, staff, new cast members, and the premiere date for season two were revealed; with the video game adaptation of the series also revealed.
The second season of the anime adaptation of Satoru Nii Windbreaker The manga is set to premiere in April 2025, one year after the first season premiered in the spring. The visual teaser shows the tagline “The city's heroes face a new battle”, referencing the upcoming battle between Bōfurin and KEEL.

New cast and crew announced
The second season Windbreaker is currently being created by the staff at CloverWorks, with various staff members from Season 1 returning to work on Season 2; including director Toshifumi Akai (character design, Magi: Labyrinth of Magic), with series composition again by Hiroshi Seko (series composition, Jiu-jutsu Kaisen), character design by series lead animation director Taisei Kawakami (key animation, Evangelion: 3.0 [-46h]) has now been joined in the role by Yusuke Tanaka (Chief Animation Director, Operation Vividred), action director Kazuyuki Asaka (key animation, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie).
Color Designer Asuka Yokota (Color Design, Black Butler: Public School Arc Kyoko Hara has now joined the cast, while Ryo Takahashi (again in charge of the music. Yasunaa Moriyasu joins and is in charge of the artwork. Ryota Osaka has joined the cast as Tasuka Tsubakin, one of the Four Heavenly Kings in the second season Windbreaker Premiering in April 2025. Satoru Nii Windbreaker The manga was released in the Kodansha Magazine Pocket app in January 2021 and has since been collected into 19 volumes. The action of the series takes place in a high school for criminals who are heroes who protect their city from trouble.
