Saudi Arabia’s Baysh Dam opens gates to accommodate heavy rainfall

RIYADH: The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Festival 2024 in Riyadh will explore the history and future of the petrochemical industry from September 2 to 30, the Saudi Press Agency said on Monday.

The STEAM event titled “Chemistry Fun: The Multidisciplinary World of Petrochemistry” was organized by King Salman Science Oasis.

It will explore past oil discoveries, recent innovations with a focus on sustainability and new technologies, and contemporary environmental challenges that are part of Vision 2030.

The festival, which will be opened under the patronage of Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar, is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, including students, teachers and families.

Scientific workshops, dialogue sessions and interactive exhibitions will be held as part of the event.

King Salman Science Oasis is a non-profit organization established as part of a strategic partnership between the Riyadh Science Charitable Foundation and King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology.

It aims to promote national values ​​and belonging, global citizenship and develop a culture of continuous learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.
