- Do Koroks Appear In The Depths?
Koroks are scattered around Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, waiting for you to find them. It may seem like every few minutes, you find a Korok, and this is for a good reason. There are quite literally hundreds of these little guys in the kingdom.
So, exactly how many Koroks do you have to help in Tears of the Kingdom? Here, we are going to answer just that. As a sneak peek though, the answer is: a lot. First, let’s take a look at a new variation added to the game; the backpack-wearing Korok.
Backpack Koroks
Shortly after starting the game, you may run into a unique type of Korok, who wears a comically oversized backpack. Instead of lifting a rock or shooting an arrow, you will need to transport this Korok to another location, marked with green smoke. This is where the Korok’s friend is waiting.
Once you’ve helped a backpack Korok, you will receive two Korok Seeds. Throughout the entire map, there are 100 stranded Koroks wearing backpacks that need help, which means that in total, there are 200 Korok Seeds to obtain by helping them.
Hidden Koroks
In addition to backpack Koroks, you can also find Koroks similarly to how you did in Breath of the Wild. This is done in many ways, such as lifting rocks, following little sparkles on the ground, and completing small puzzles.
Overall, there are 800 Korok Seeds found this way.
Do Koroks Appear In The Depths?
Thankfully, there are no Koroks in the Depths. This area can be quite scary, especially if you don’t have a nearby Lightroot unlocked. Fortunately, there are no hidden Koroks in the Gloom.
Koroks can only be found in the sky, and on the surface of Hyrule; the majority of Koroks are on the surface though.
Total Number Of Koroks
The grand total for Korok Seeds in Tears of the Kingdom is 1000! As mentioned earlier, backpack Koroks give two seeds. This means that in total, you will essentially be helping 900 Koroks.
