13 Best Starter Team

Raiden Shogun, Kokomi, Venti Deck from Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Kokomi, Venti, Raiden Shogun

You have limited invites, so if you’re new to the game, you should get characters that have great versatility. You should also choose characters whose elements you don’t have on your deck yet. This electro-charged team is beginner-friendly and will help you understand how elements are applied in this card game. Kokomi will provide consistent healing and can proc the electro-charged reaction, Venti can swirl hydro or electro to your enemies through his burst, and the Raiden Shogun is good for additional damage and recharging everybody’s energy by a point.

If you’re wondering why you should get Venti if you already have Sucrose, it has everything to do with his ability to infuse elements in his burst, which deals latent damage at the round’s end is something unique to his gameplay.

12 Best All-Around Team

Childe International Deck in Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Xiangling, Tartaglia, Bennett

If you think Childe International only works in the Spiral Abyss, this deck proves that these three are meant to be teammates even in the card game. It wouldn’t be a problem to keep Xiangling and Bennett’s bursts up if you have the Emblem of Severed Fate equipment card in the deck, which will help trigger more vaporize reactions. Bennett becomes an efficient healer in this team, and he will keep your teammates alive long enough without compromising your damage.

You might think that Ayato is a good substitute for Childe in this deck, but Childe deals more damage especially when he’s in his melee stance during his burst. His riptide status also deals piercing damage to characters afflicted with it, which can eat away and your opponent’s health.

11 Best Team For Heals

Genshin Impact TCG Barbara Diluc and Jean Best Team for Healing

Team: Barbara, Diluc, Jean

This team can alternatively be called the “Best Sibling Team-Up” with both Jean and Barbara present. Everybody knows the pain of fighting against a team full of healers, and this team is the epitome of making trouble double.

With this team, Barbara can provide end-round healing for all of your characters with her elemental skill so that the damage dealt to your characters is reduced. Jean can provide swirls with her skill and notoriously force your opponent’s characters to switch after using her skill. Jean’s burst will also restore everybody’s health through her Dandelion Breeze burst by two HP. Diluc’s in this team for dealing merciless damage through the vaporize reaction.

10 Best Vaporize Team

Genshin Impact TCG Bennett Yoimiya and Xingqiu Best Vaporize Team

Team: Bennett, Yoimiya, Xingqiu

This team’s rotation is played much like how it’s played in actual combat in Genshin Impact. Yoimiya’s skill infuses pyro damage, therefore, Xingqiu’s rain swords can vaporize her attack. This deadly combination can instantly kill one of your opponent’s characters.

If your opponent’s character doesn’t live through Yoimiya’s pyro-infused normal attack, Xingqiu’s rain swords will deal hydro damage to the next character your opponent swaps to. Bennett provides pyro-resonance to your team, which increases your damage output. He also provides heals and damage buffs through his burst.

9 Best Freeze Team

Freeze Team with Xiao, Kokomi, and Ganyu in Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Xiao, Kokomi, Ganyu

Freeze is a lamentable reaction because it forces your opponents to switch out of their active character. Bless anybody whose whole team has been frozen in one turn and is forced to end their round. If you’ve ever wanted Ganyu and Xiao on the same team in the overworld, you’d know it’s not the most practical team composition out there.

But in the TCG version, Xiao and Ganyu would have great synergy because they’re both from Liyue, Certain equipment cards encourage two characters from the same nation to be in one deck. In this case, Stone and Contracts give additional three omni element dice, which is great for characters like Ganyu that are dice-hungry. But aside from nation synergy, these characters are great for swirl reactions, which would make the freeze reaction easier to implement.

8 Best Melt Team

Melt Team Featuring Ayaka, Bennett, and Nahida from Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Ayaka, Bennett, Nahida

Freeze is great, but melt deals a lot of damage as well. It’s even greater when two characters can buff your already powerful character. Ayaka’s burst deals heavy damage in itself but also summons a Frostflake, which deals four damage per end round.

Related: Genshin Impact: Best Team Compositions For Bennett

Bennett is on the team for heals and will amplify Ayaka’s damage through his burst. Nahida can help keep the fire alive through the burning reaction, which can apply pyro at the end of the round.

7 Best Geo Team

Geo Team Deck featuring Noelle, Kokomi, and Zhongli from Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Noelle, Bennett, Zhongli

Almost any team with Noelle is bound to be amazing, but in TCG, she pairs well with other geo characters. The God of Geo himself is the best teammate for her since he offers additional shielding, as well as a significant number of damage through his skill and burst. He’s especially useful for petrifying a card through his burst, so think of freeze except in geo format.

Kokomi is your best in slot healer, and she’ll be great for crystallized reactions which give you additional shields. This team is hard to fight and to pierce through, literally.

6 Best Pyro Team

Xiangling, Nahida, and Zhongli Deck from Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Xiangling, Nahida, Zhongli

If burning is your favorite reaction, this team is capable of sustaining the reaction while keeping you amply shielded from enemy attacks. Xiangling and Nahida have good synergy together, since Nahida’s normal attacks apply dendro unconditionally. Xiangling will be responsible for dishing out pyro damage, and Nahida will be the one to keep it burning throughout the next rounds.

Zhongli is a great option not only for nation synergy with Xiangling but also for additional protection through shielding. He can also trigger crystallize, which will help in sustaining your team’s shields.

5 Best Quicken Team

Cyno, Collei, and Bennett Quicken Team in Genshin Impact: Genius Invokation TCG

Team: Cyno, Collei, Bennett

With the Engulfing Lightning and the Emblem of Severed Fate in this deck, Cyno becomes a burst dispenser. Collei can be your on-field and off-field dendro applier, respectively through her skill and burst. Cyno will be the one to trigger aggravate through either his skill, and could deal higher damage numbers through his burst.

Bennett will be the healer, as well as the damage buffer in this team. But from time to time, he could also prompt the overload reaction, which forces character cards to switch (assuming it doesn’t kill the character that received the reaction).

4 Best Electro-Charged Team

Genshin Impact TCG Xingqiu Keqing and Jean Best Electro-Charged Team

Team: Xingqiu, Keqing, Jean

Electro-charge is pesky since it has the potential to deal one damage to your opponent’s characters on standby. With Xingqiu’s burst actively applying hydro, Jean can swirl hydro to other opponent cards and force them to switch to the next active character.

Related: Genshin Impact: Best Team Compositions For Jean

Keqing can trigger electro-charged with her electro-infused attack, which deals damage to the target character and the other opponent characters on standby. This team is good in elemental application, with both Xingqiu and Jean present. Keqing will be responsible for ending much of the other team’s cards by electro damage and infusion.

3 Hardest Team To Read

Genshin Impact TCG Beidou Maguu Kenki and Jean Hardest Team to Read

Team: Beidou, Maguu Kenki, Jean

Two anemo characters in TCG aren’t overkill, especially if it’s the Maguu Kenki and Jean on the team. The Maguu Kenki deals a sickening four anemo damage even without other elements involved but deals extra damage when swirl is activated.

Besides being an amazing swirl team, it’s also the hardest team to read in the game. These three characters’ moves are difficult to predict since your opponent wouldn’t know if they’ll be forced to switch characters, if they’ll take damage, or if they’re going to be infused by any element at all.

2 Best All-Summons Team

Genshin Impact TCG Xiangling Collei and Fischl Best Summons Team

Team: Xiangling, Collei, Fischl

Never underestimate a team capable of unleashing an unholy amount of summons. Who knew Guoba, Oz, and the Cullein-Anbar would be the greatest friends in unleashing a flurry of elemental reactions? If you are unlucky enough to forget to pack your destroyer of all summons card, this trio will apply dendro, electro, and pyro at the end of the round, which will trigger multiple reactions that will be hard to get rid of.

If your opponent survives the summons, they’ll have Xiangling’s pyronado and Fischl’s burst combined. Think of this as the international team of TCG, with every character card from a different region but having amazing synergy on-field.

1 Best Burst Team

Genshin Impact TCG Xiangling Cyno and Bennett Best Burst Team

Team: Xiangling, Cyno, Bennett

Every character in this deck has one thing in common – their bursts recharge quickly, which allows you to play in a quick-swap manner. With pyro resonance gifting our team an extra pyro reaction damage bonus and Bennett giving us additional damage buffs, it becomes easy for Cyno to deal bigger damage numbers with his skill and his burst.

It also helps that Cyno’s not the only one who deals burst damage, as Xiangling’s pyronado deals two pyro damage on its own, which carries over to the next character you swap to.
