A return to Fortnite OG is happening in Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 5 update. The month-long season begins with contents from Chapter 1 Season 5 and the long-gone year 2018. The weekly updates for this season will take players through the second part of Season 1, with new and old weapons and vehicles from the past being unlocked every Thursday thanks to hotfixes.

The first two vehicles out of the vault are:

More vehicles will be added weekly in the hotfixes, so players will have to wait a bit for the return of planes.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 OG provides a fresh start for all players
Every player’s rank has been reset in Chapter 4 Season OG, as is customary with every new season, giving them all a fresh start.
As usual, you just need to play one ranked match in Chapter 4 Season OG (one match for each Battle Royale and Zero Build) to find out your rank. Your initial rank placement is not based on how well you performed in your first match. Instead, it displays your rank and then modifies your rank progress bar in response to how well you performed during the game.
Ranked Matchmaking Test
Matchmaking is anticipated to take a little longer than it would if you were in a lower level. The devs have just started a test to see if there are any ways to get players into a match in Ranked more quickly. More specifically, if matchmaking is taking a long time, lobbies with more than 80 participants will start a match. The minimum number of players and the amount of time before a match starts may be changed while we keep an eye on things.
By limiting the pool of individuals who can enter a match, this test also aims to provide more equitable matchups for players with higher rankings.
Faster Rank Progression in Fortnite OG Chapter 4 Season 5 update
Because Fortnite Original is a brief season, rank advancement at the middle and upper ranks will happen more quickly to make up for it. Early match elimination will result in fewer penalties for players and somewhat quicker rank progression bar growth.
Additionally, buddies queuing up together across ranks will see more consistent progression as we’ve accelerated progression for people in the Bronze ranks.
Reminiscent Ranked Reward
You will receive a Ranked Urgent Quest as soon as you exit a ranked match. You can get in-game rewards by finishing a specific number of Ranked Urgent Quests! When playing Fortnite OG, you can get the Chapter 1-inspired Ranker’s Tags Back Bling by doing just one Ranked Urgent Quest.
