It was heavily rumored not that long ago that for the first time since 2004, this year would be the first without a new Call of Duty game. That instead, whatever Activision has planned for this holiday season would instead be an extension of 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, Well, whether that was the plan or not at one point in time, it isn’t anymore. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches later this year, and pre-orders for the next game in the long-running series are now live.
Releasing on November 10, 2023, Modern Warfare 3 has two editions to choose from when it comes to selecting your pre-order. Either the Standard/Cross-Gen edition or the Vault Edition. Both versions of the game are available across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but no, sorry Nintendo fans, no Switch version just yet. Despite Xbox’s promise and the progression of its Activision acquisition, the wait for Call of Duty on Nintendo hardware is probably still going to be a long one.
