All Week 6 Seasonal Challenges

Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch has released its sixth week of Seasonal Challenges, giving players an easy way of earning large sums of XP and Bright Dust. A new set of challenges releases every week for the first ten weeks of a given season, and they can be completed at any point before the season ends.

This week’s challenges range from trivial to extremely difficult. You’ll need to defeat enemies with Heavy weapons, win rounds in the Trials of Osiris, and crush Hive Ghosts in Savathun’s Throne World. The good news is that most of these challenges only take a few minutes to complete and award a ton of XP.

Acolyte’s Ascent VI

Destiny 2 Eris Morn As Hive God

Acolyte’s Ascent VI: Complete Week 6 of “The Bladed Path” quest.

“The Bladed Path” is this season’s questline and can be accessed from the “Quests” tab of your Director. This week unlocks the final elemental alignment and its associated Major Arcana Card. Follow the quest steps to find the correct Lost Sector, then damage the runes within the Lost Sector with the element you chose.

Luminary III

Destiny 2 Void 3.0 Subclasses

Luminary III: Master the Light by defeating combatants with Void, Arc, or Solar damage. Earn bonus progress by affecting combatants with subclass abilities.

This version of the Luminary challenges requires you to defeat 300 enemies with Arc, Solar, or Void damage. This can be through abilities or weapons. Enemies afflicted with subclass debuffs are worth additional progress, specifically:

We recommend farming Savathun’s Throne World with a Solar build to get this done quickly. This will progress the Sympathetic Magic Seasonal Challenge and allows you to use an Incandescent weapon for quick progress.

Sympathetic Magic

Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch Savathun's Spire Labyrinth

Sympathetic Magic: Defeat combatants in Savathun’s Spire using damage that matches your active subclass.

While in the Savathun’s Spire activity, defeat 100 enemies with a damage type that matches your subclass. For example, if you’re a Solar subclass, you’ll need to land Solar final blows. Pick your favorite weapon, run a matching subclass, and you should have this challenge complete in a couple of runs.

Bone Breaker

Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch Spire Lightbearer

Bone Breaker: Crush Lucent Hive Ghosts anywhere in Savathun’s Throne World. Earn bonus progress during Season of the Witch activities.

The API states that you’ll need to crush 100 Hive Ghosts to finish this challenge, but this seems to be an error judging from the low XP reward. The good news is that Season of the Witch activities grant bonus progress, so you can farm Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning to get this done quickly. We recommend Altars of Summoning since most Hive encounters tend to spawn two or three Lucent Lightbearers.

Mod Collector

Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch Acolyte's Staff Artifact

Mod Collector: Unlock Artifact mods.

  • 50,000 XP
  • 150 Bright Dust

This challenge is retroactive.

Mod Collector requires you to unlock all 12 perks in the Acolyte’s Staff Artifact. You unlock perks by earning XP throughout the season, Seasonal Challenges serving as your main source of XP. If you haven’t unlocked 12 perks yet, we recommend farming other Seasonal Challenges and vendor bounties. Put on a Blinding Light mod on your Ghost Shell to further increase your XP gains.

Trial By Firing Squad

Destiny 2 Trials Of Osiris 2023 Armor Set

Trial by Firing Squad: Win multiple rounds in the Trials of Osiris.

  • 50,000 XP
  • 150 Bright Dust
  • Trials of Osiris Weapon

This challenge asks that you win ten rounds of Trials of Osiris. It’s important to note that it requires round wins, not game wins. If you can’t get a fireteam together for Trials, your best bet is to stick with your team. Bring your favorite Hand Cannon, Scout Rifle, or Pulse Rifle and teamshot whenever possible. Don’t play aggressively unless you’re confident that you’ll get a kill, and always look at your radar to figure out where the enemy team is.

Calibrate Long Range

Destiny 2 Graviton Lance

Calibrate Long Range: Calibrate long-range weapons—Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles. Bonus progress is granted for defeating Guardians.

Defeat 100 enemies with long-range weapons to complete this challenge. Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles will grant progress. We recommend using Graviton Lance, Trinity Ghoul, or your favorite Trace Rifle to get this done quickly. Season of the Witch activities are good places to farm kills due to their high enemy density.

Heavy Hardware

A Hunter fires Thunderlord in Destiny 2.

Heavy Hardware: Get final blows with Heavy ammo in ritual activities. Earn bonus progress for Machine Gun final blows or by defeating Guardians.

  • 100,000 XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

Heavy Hardware requires a whopping 400 final blows with Heavy weapons in Vanguard Ops, Gambit, or Crucible. Thankfully, you can speed this up greatly by using a Machine Gun since it grants double progress. Machine Guns are also quite ammo efficient and deal excellent damage, so we recommend you equip your favorite MG and farm the Vanguard Ops playlist. Some good options include Thunderlord, Commemoration, and Fixed Odds.
