In the game’s storyline, the land of Eldraad is embroiled in a fierce conflict between two factions: the humans, who trace their origins to the Twilight Deity, and the monsters, whose roots are tied to the Nightfall Deity. Their ultimate goal is to gain control over all nine temples. King Edwahl wields Twilight’s might, turning humans into vampires via a ritual which in turn awakes a sinister force in the Monsters.
