Boruta Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters to exist in the Narutoverse, and one that continues to have an amazing following as the story progresses. Boruto is a force to be reckoned with and there is no denying that. Born a genius, Boruto was always destined for glory, and even though he suffered, Boruto turned his pain into strength and continues to grow stronger.

Right now, in Boruto: Two Blue WhirlwindsBoruto has reached an unprecedented level of power where few can rival him. In fact his power has reached such a level that fans wonder if he has already surpassed Naruto Uzumaki in terms of power.

Boruta Uzumaki is quite easily one of the strongest characters in the Boruta the world at this point in time. Even though Boruto doesn't have complete control over Karma, he has actually reached a level where he doesn't even need Karma to beat the higher levels. The secret of Boruto's power was revealed in the story very recently. First, Boruta trained with Sasuke for about a year. During this time, Sasuke drilled into him every skill he had and helped him reach a very high level. Of course, that didn't mean that Boruto was at Sasuke's level of power. Boruta was still far behind him, but the point was that he had the foundation to grow in every department that Sasuke trained him in. Unfortunately for Boruto, Sasuke was turned into a tree by Claw Grimes, which ended up keeping him on the run for quite some time. Boruto Uzumaki eventually ran into Kashino Koji. Using his new Prescience shinjutsu, Koji showed him several graphs and the future along with them.

From these multiple timelines, Koji collected all the jutsu that Boruto was capable of learning and taught him in the present. This allowed Boruto to gain massive amounts of power in a short amount of time, as well as learn all the jutsu he potentially could in the alternate realities. This made Boruto Uzumaki quite strong and taught him jutsu such as the Uzuhika and at the same time handy abilities such as the Flying God of Thunder technique. This strengthened Boruto tremendously, and fans know that Kashin Koji himself also helped him grow physically. It's obvious that Boruto is very powerful now, and fans saw that at the beginning of Two Blue Vortex.

Boruto was fighting Kod, who was limitless at this point, and was still able to defeat him quite easily. By this point, Kod was potentially stronger than even Jigen, but still nowhere near Boruto's level. Later, Boruto even fought against Shinju, and in that battle it was clear to the fans that they were not as strong as him, with the exception of Juri. When Boruto was fighting Hidari, he unleashed his full power and hit him so hard that he was essentially destroyed. Of course, Kawaki helped him in this battle, but it was clear to the fans that Boruta was far superior. At least you can say that Boruto's power now exceeds that of Jigen and is greater than most Shinju with the exception of Juri.

Naruto Uzumaki reached an unprecedented level with Byron Mode

Although Naruto Uzumaki is likely no match for Boruto in his base forms, fans know that he reached a very high level when using the Sage of the Six Paths mode in the story. Naruto was able to fend off Momoshiki, and did so with half his strength. Although Momoshiki is not supposed to be as strong as Isiki as many fans believe, the author often compares him to Isiki despite the fact that the latter appears to be much stronger. While Issiki may be stronger than Momoshiki, fans also know that Naruto struggled to beat at least Jigen, who Boruto is supposed to be stronger by now.

However, one thing many fans forget is that in order to fight Naruto and Sasuke, Jigen borrowed energy from the Ten-Tails. This chakra, which was taken in large amounts from the Ten-Tails, helped him become much stronger than he actually was and fight these two terrifyingly powerful individuals. Without the power of the Ten-Tails, Jigen would most likely lose. Despite the Ten-Tails' strength, Jigen's vessel cracked at the end, signifying that he had reached his limit. Obviously, with the main booster coming from Ten Tails, Jigen was stronger, but of course not without the booster, which the fans don't remember.

Despite this, fans know that Six Paths sage mode is no longer with Naruto Uzumaki. In order to defeat Ishiki, Naruto used a new power that resulted in him completely defeating Ishiki in battle, and it was clear to fans that there was a huge difference in the power level of the two individuals. This was made possible by Naruto tapping into Baryon's power, which allowed him to create an entirely new form of energy and use it in battle. Naruto could also shave off his own chakra and Ishiki's lifespan with every punch or every time they made contact with each other. This enhancement didn't last long, but Naruto reached his peak. At his peak, Naruto is far superior to Boruto.

Can Boruto surpass Naruto Uzumaki?

Obviously, Boruta Uzumaki is very powerful and is on his way to surpassing Naruto. The next generation usually always surpasses the previous generation in the franchise, and here Boruto should have the tools to reach a level that Naruto couldn't. After all, he is incredibly gifted, has a strong bond with Otsutsuki, and has also received a lot of help from Sasuke and Kashino Koji. Boruto even has Momoshiki, which when he manages to control gives him a huge boost, and there's also the case of Zhugan, which as things stand continues to be a big mystery. At the peak of his powers, Boruto could potentially rival Naruto's Baryon regime.

Sure, an argument can be made for Boruta suppressing this level, but he's nowhere near the level of Naruto's Baryon mode right now, and couldn't beat him in a fight if they ever met. What awaits Borut in the future, fans do not know. But the same can be said for Naruto Uzumaki because eventually he will have to be released and fans don't know what level of power he will be aiming to achieve when he returns.
