One Pieceas a story, contains so many characters that it is hard to keep track. From the people of Orange City in East Blue to the children of Punk Hazard, all the way to the various groups scattered across Vano Land, it can sometimes be difficult to keep track of every character at every point in the story. Because of this, unfortunately, sometimes characters who One Piece the fanbase thought it would matter instead of being left behind and forgotten.

However, sometimes, integral characters that were once extremely important to the story One Piece were also forgotten. One character has struck a chord with fans, many of whom believe they deserve much better. This character, Carrot, felt like an honorary member of the Straw Hat crew, but was left behind by history faster than any other.

Optimism and strength

Carrot was first introduced to the story after the events of Dressrose, during One Piece Zou Arch. Part of the Minx tribe, Carrot is a young humanoid rabbit and a member of Duke Dogstrom's musketeer squad. Thanks to this, she has quite significant combat capabilities and can withstand strong opponents.

However, when the Straw Hats left Tzu One Piece All over Cake Island, Carrot has secretly joined the team to find Sanji, following her idol Pedro. From then on, Carrot was an important member of Straw Hat's team, helping to save the group on several occasions. Also, even after Whole Cake Island, Carrot continued to help the Straw Hats during their time in Vano Land.

However, despite everything that Art One Piece Minx, Carrot, made for the team, at the end of the Vano arc, the Straw Hats left her behind without even saying goodbye. Despite saying goodbye to Kin'emon and Mamanosuke, Carrot didn't even get a thank you for the time and effort she put in. For many, it was a disappointment for a character who was considered by many to be an honorary member of the Straw Hat crew.

This is especially disappointing because of what Carrot has done during her adventures. If Carrot hadn't awakened her Sulong form, the Straw Hats would have been easily captured One Piece Emperor, Big Mom. Also, during Whole Cake Island, Carrot witnessed her mentor and idol, Pedro, sacrifice himself to give the rest of the group a better chance of escape. Given the amount of physical and emotional trauma Carrot endured during her time with the Straw Hats, a simple goodbye would go a long way.

Even outside of the story, Carrot has been with the Straw Hat team for a significant amount of time in the real world, gradually becoming one of the most beloved characters of the fans. Since her introduction in 2015, Carrot has stuck with the team for over half a decade. Seeing such an important character disappear without another interaction with the Straw Hats seems like a disservice to fans.

The anime gives an uncanny farewell

Despite the fact that the manga did not receive canonical departures, One Piece anime, Carrot did say goodbye during the filler episode at the end of Wano. However, despite this point, many fans are still saddened by the character's misguided departure, explaining her need to explore the seas as already fulfilled from her adventures with the Straw Hats. Farewell to the Straw Hats or not, Carrot returns to the Minx tribe to become the new leader of the group, eventually ending his career as a pirate.

In the end, it's sad to see such a beloved character abandoned by the world One Piece. While Carrot joining the Straw Hats might be a step too far, seeing a better end to the character's story as we know it would be enough to satisfy fans. However, the story of a One Piece not over yet. There is still plenty of time for Carrot to come back and give fans the way they wanted.
