Oda confirms the main power of the Seraphim

Eiichira Oda One Piece has been on hiatus for 2 weeks now and although it was hard for fans to go a week without a One Piece section, they did not go completely hungry. Oda revealed quite a few interesting details in his Q&A session, and more importantly, fans also got SBS with the release of Volume 110.

If that wasn't enough, fans were also shown a new set of Vivre cards that gave them quite a bit of information about the new characters in the story. Most recently, Oda revealed an important detail about the Seraphim that, while some fans predicted, others were very surprised. This adds another layer of depth to the Seraphim and just goes to show that they really are the strongest form of humanity.

Introduction of the Seraphim in one part

The Seraphim are first mentioned in chapter 956 One Piece. This happened when the Shitibukai system was canceled and at the same time Fujitora asked Akainu to believe in SSG. It was understood at the time that the SSG was a new unit developed by Vegapunk that the government was putting its money into. They were meant to be a Warlords replacement and it's safe to say they were definitely hyped up quite a bit. It wasn't until the events of the Wano Country Arc that fans got their first glimpse of Seraphim. It was on the Amazon Lily where the Navy tried to capture Boa Hancock. As Kobe led the attack with the other Vice Admirals, the Marines also used two Seraphim.

They are… the strongest form of humanity!! – Vegapunk

These were two of the strongest, in the form of S-Hawk, who is the Seraphim of Dracula Mihawk, and of course, S-Snake, who is the Seraphim of Boa Hancock herself. This is where fans got their first glimpse of the Seraphim in action, and it's safe to say they impressed everyone. Both of these Seraphim were like their parents. In fact, they even possessed similar abilities. S-Snake possessed the power of Mero Mero no Mi despite not having a Devil Fruit, and S-Hawk had enough athletic skills to cut giant mountains in half just like Mihawk.

At the same time, fans also saw that they have Lunarian traits. This meant they had brown skin, white hair, wings on their backs, and giant flames. They were incredibly difficult to damage, as in the case of the moon dwellers with flames burning on their backs, and in general one can understand how these individuals were meant to replace the Seven Warlords of the Sea. It's safe to say that Vegapunk have outdone themselves with this invention and that they are going to shape humanity in one way or another in the future.

Oda confirms that the Seraphim have haki in one piece

All Seraphim have weapons and observation hacks

Fans knew that the Seraphim would always be incredibly powerful. In fact, Oda even confirmed that these terrifyingly powerful individuals possessed great Devil Fruit powers. When using Green Blood, they displayed incredible abilities, either that of their parent's body or someone else's, as in the case of S-Hawk, who possesses the Supa Supa no Mi power possessed by Mr. One. Fans knew that they had awesome Devil Fruit powers as well as Moon abilities, however fans didn't know that the Seraphim also had Haki. Seraphim are now confirmed in Vivre Cards to have two forms of Haki. All of the Seraphim that fans have seen in One Piece have at least the weapon and observation hacks.

Dark skin, white hair, black wings…don't tell me…!! – Blackbeard

This confirms that in a sense they also have spiritual powers since Haki comes from spirit. If they have a spirit of their own, it means that Vegapunk essentially created humanity from scratch, and that they may indeed become the strongest in the future. Interestingly, the power of the Conqueror's Haki for the Seraphim has not yet been confirmed, but this power may awaken in a select few of these Seraphim in the future.

For example, fans know that Boa Hancock is a user of Conqueror's Haki, as is Doflamingo's Donquixote. These two people will surely gain Conqueror Haki in the future, which only goes to show that they can rival and possibly even surpass the strongest individuals in the One Piece world, thanks to the fact that they possess additional abilities that their parent bodies do not. It will be incredibly interesting to watch their growth over the years as they go from strength to strength. Especially because an individual's haki gets stronger as it gets stronger. The Seraphims have now been confirmed to have incredible potential, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what they come up with next.

Will the Seraphim have Conqueror's Haki?

Some Seraphim can gain Conqueror's Haki

As already confirmed, the Seraphim now have Haki as well. Their haki level is most likely already very good. This should come as no surprise to fans considering they are strong enough to stand up to the likes of Luffy, Zoro, Luchi, and Blackbeard among others who use Haki in battle. Moreover, they can also sense things, as hinted in the Egged Island Arc. A large part of this means that their observation skills and haki weaponry are great enough for even the highest level of the One Piece world to take them seriously.

However, none of them showed Haki Conqueror or confirmed it for themselves. But this does not mean that none of them will get this ability. As previously stated, there are some Seraphim who will receive this power, as it makes no sense for them not to have it when they have their parent bodies. The S-Hawk is another contender for the Conqueror's Hawk. He and the others were sure to get it as well, and with all these powers at their disposal, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a select few Seraphim reach the very top and become rivals even with the likes of Yonka in One Piece.

Indeed, Vegapunk wasn't kidding when he suggested that the Seraphim would go on to become the strongest form of humanity, surpassing everyone else in the world and rivaled only by a select few. Fans have only seen glimpses of these Seraphim so far, but they will become even more relevant in the future as they develop their personalities and potentially even betray the World Government.
