While Solgaleo is relatively short Pokemon TCG career leaves him with a smaller list of cards than Pokemon, which debuted in one of the best vintage sets, it still boasts a few beauties. Solgaleo's introduction to Alola allowed him to showcase the best sets from the Sun and Moon era, boasting a mix of beautiful cards among the best.
However, despite its status as one of the Legendary Pokémon of the generation, Solgaleo still needs the help of its friends to bolster its TCG values. Lily and Lunala appear alongside Solgaleo on some of the most valuable cards; however, this Steel-type Legendary Pokemon stands alone in most of its expensive offerings.

The first of the pair
Solgaleo's first entry kicks things off with Cosmic Eclipse-stamped promo material, which features a portrait of Solgaleo filled with flames while the legendary Pokemon dances in a wall of flames.
This stamp promo honors the Cosmic Eclipse set, although it did not appear in stamped packs, instead appearing only in specially labeled products such as three-pack blisters.
Not far from the mint (NM) copies of this card are falling as they once held their value firmly in the $20 neighborhood. However, while it's not impossible for this card to sell for around that amount, two NM sales at $29.95 and $9.99 leave big doubts about the future of this card and its real value.

A rainbow that works
This simple image of Solgaleo honors this legendary Pokemon in all its glory with the Rainbow Secret Rare color change, a hallmark of the era. While the design divides opinion, this version is a positive example of the potential of the Rainbow Secret Rare as Solgaleo's simple color palette provides the perfect canvas.
Unsurprisingly, this Solgaleo also drops in price, with NM copies of dip from above From $15 to under $11 on multiple sales. While Moderate Play (MP) cards offer a nice six dollar discount, they may continue to lose value given that near-perfect copies drop into the single digits.

Don't worry, you're not seeing a doppelgänger, as this Solgaleo has a special distinction that sets it apart from the Cosmic Eclipse stamped version that started it all. Pay attention to the PLAY! The Pokemon symbol is at the bottom left of the map.
Unfortunately, this version is just as disappointing with its data, as there is only one sale in the lightly played
(LP)
condition to set a benchmark.
While the rarity of this card makes it difficult to determine if its market price is fair and where its value might go, it will likely become even harder to find over time, ultimately increasing its value.
3 Solgaleo GX: Ultra Prism (Secret Rare) – $41.43
Lack of sufficient contrast
Solgaleo soars to new heights with this gorgeous Gold Record, one of the most valuable cards in Ultra Prism Sun & Moon. While you may love or hate the design, there's no denying the price jump this card causes.
While Rainbow Secret Rares are often a matter of taste, all-gold Secret Rares rarely look half as good as the original Pokemon designs, as the lack of contrasting colors and surfaces leaves this card feeling unsatisfying.
You can pick up a moderately played copy (MP) for around $26, while LP cards jump to $40, followed by NM copies that approach $45, although they can be sold for $48.

Busy repainting the rainbow
Solgaleo welcomes a little help from its friends with this Rainbow Secret Rare, which is one of the top prize cards in Cosmic Eclipse. The iridescent color palette distracts from these intricate designs, but they're not as lost as some of the others.
Solgaleo is joined by the legendary Pokemon Lunala, as well as Lily, who is the canonical owner of Cosmog, the previous evolution of both Lunala and Solgaleo.
This card collapsed to $54 after reaching a high of $62, but it is returning to its previous high with an impressive recovery in value that took this card from $55 to $60 within a month. NM copies usually sell for around $60, while LP copies will cost closer to $40.

This card mimics the upward trajectory of its Rainbow Secret Rare, continuing to climb back toward the $130 plateau. This card is one time rose to $152 before falling to $100, but as support gathers it continues to soar past its previous starting point back to its high.
