Most expensive Duraludon Pokemon TCG cards

Modern Pokemon face a difficult task once they debut in the Pokemon TCG because there are many known favorites to contend with. Duraludon is lucky to have debuted in the Sword & Shield era, which contains several valuable sets with exceptional card lists to collect.

While Duraludon isn't popular enough to compete with the more expensive cards of the Sword & Shield era, it has held its own, especially in Evolving Skies, where many cards have risen in price in response to the set's rise in popularity. This group lays the foundation for a long and successful career as the best Duraludon cards in the Pokemon TCG.

Maps are ordered according to their TCGPlayer
market price,
which shows how much you could pay on average for a copy of the cards below.

5 Duraludon VMAX: Prize Pack Series (Ultra Rare) – $4.93

A penny game

Pokemon TCG's Duraludon UR Prize Pack Series.

Duraludon starts with an unusual one of the most valuable cards: the Duraludon VMAX version of the Prize Pack series from Evolving Skies. Cards from the Prize Pack series are given out to participants as special packs at official Pokemon TCG events.

While the regular Ultra Rare version of this card from Evolving Skies retails for less than a dollar,
the Prize Pack stamp in the lower right corner sends the price up.

For now this card used to soar in the neighborhood of $8.00, over time, it continued to drop to lower plateaus, settling at $6.50, $5.30, and $5.00, before continuing its decline to its current value. After falling below the five dollar mark, it's hard to say where this card might see a turnaround, as may continue to fall if not bounced back soon.

A sprawling urban landscape

This gorgeous Trainer Gallery card is one of Silver Tempest's best, featuring Raihan climbing onto his signature Pokemon's head and letting out a primal roar. Raihan and Duraludon mirror each other perfectly in this scene, showing their deep connection.

Trainer Gallery cards show Pokemon trainers in a slice of life with one of their signature Pokemon in many versions
featuring Pokémon in Dynamax or Gigantamax form.

This Duraludon VMAX Trainer gallery sits just a penny above the Prize Pack Series card, holding on to a slim lead as its price continues to drop from $5.25. While some recent NM sales fell as low as $4.02, others jumped as high as $5.45, indicating there is a great demand for clean copies.

3 Duraludon VMAX: Evolving Skies (Secret Rare) – $7.01

The rare secret of a perfect rainbow

Pokemon TCG's Duraludon Evolving Skies Rare Secret.

VMAX cards are among the most valuable of the Sword & Shield era and are the generation's signature style. This Rainbow Secret Rare epitomizes how beautiful this color palette can look when used on a Pokémon that has the appropriate canvas.

A good Rainbow Secret Rare contender usually has a white or light color palette, but other monochromatic and simple patterns can work.

As a general rule, the simpler the design, the better.

This Duraludon VMAX used to cost over nine dollars fell below seven dollars before the start of the rally back up the charts. Recent sales have seen this card rise from six dollars to the $7.20 range before rolling back slightly to the seven-dollar plateau. However, it maintains strong support at this figure, leaving room for further growth in the future.

2 Duraludon V: Evolving Skies (Alternate Full Art) – $11.61

Raihan's Pokemon

Alternate art of Duraludon V Evolving Skies from the Pokemon TCG.

Continuing Evolving Skies, Rayhan shares an adorable scene with his ace Pokemon Duraludon, as this talented couple cooks up a delicious meal with Duraludon ready to go. Phone Rotom also appears in the top right, adding some extra detail that brings this scene to life.

More characters in the scene
generally indicate that the card is likely to have a higher value as it appeals to a wider audience.

Including food, popular Pokemon (especially Pikachu or Eevee), or other special details increases the demand for the card even more.

While this map long-term downtrend from $16 to the current mark disappointingly, it has recently held firm around $10.60, advertising a market price of $11.60 amid several sales in the $15 range. Copies that are likely to get a great grade usually command a premium, but more sales are needed to determine if this card can return to its former heights.

1 Duraludon VMAX: Evolving Skies (Alternative Art Secret) – $17.98

Growth into the future

Secret Duraludon Alt Art from Evolving Skies in Pokemon TCG.

While Duraludon will never be among the most expensive cards in Evolving Skies, this rare version of Alternate Art Secret claims the crown as the most valuable version of Duraludon in the set. Duraludon's Dynamax transformation is almost complete in this gorgeous illustration of Duraludon's rapid growth.

Duraludon fulfills its purpose as a skyscraper after reaching Dynamax to this size.

However, the significance of this card was felt a rapid decline from a high of $27 it was nice collapsing to about $18 before slowly settling into its new home, floating slightly above and below this new benchmark. However, its price seems to be holding steady around that mark as this card seems determined not to drop down to the $14 region again.
