Recently rumors indicating that Phil Spencer will leave his post as a chapter XboxWhat Microsoft has now made an official response to. Spencer's claims in Xbox have shown that it could leave in 2027.
Spencer had a rather fruitful career in Microsoft, initially joining the company back in 1988 and moved to the Xbox team in 2001. Spencer is currently the head of Microsoft Gaming, but the rumors claim that the next -generation Xbox console will change.

However, Xbox has now denied the application with the head of the Xbox Communications, Curry Perez, completely denying them. Perez stated that “Phil does not leave soon” in a comment to the border. Retirement and dismissal in Microsoft
Phil Spencer is 57 as of 2025, which means that the performer may look at the prospect of leaving or go to another position at some point in his future. Judging by these statements, however, there is no specific plan to happen soon. At a minimum, it sounds as if Spencer will remain from the Xbox, at least in the next generation, that is, it could well work in Microsoft until the 2030s.
Unfortunately, not everyone in Microsoft is lucky to say the same thing. In May 2025, Microsoft fired 6,000 workers, and the new report shows that 4% of the company's current labor force will be fired, which could make up to 9,000 additional jobs. Spencer noted that “rigid decisions” should be made in order for the Xbox to continue to succeed. These dismissal also meant the cancellation of the games and the closure of the initiative that brought the reboot Perfect dark to life. Now this game is also lifted, and the title has never seen light day outside public trailers.
While this is an unhappy time for Microsoft staff and most of the gaming industry as a whole, Phil Spencer will have no place soon, banning any serious events and changes. According to Spencer, Microsoft staff is exposed to Wired.
