Redditor KevinPigaChu suggested that Jeff's ultimate should not be able to absorb enemies that are not on the ground. To illustrate his point, the player shared a screenshot from the game that shows Jeff's Ultima being used on the first floor of one of Rivals of Marvel cards. Meanwhile, Groot appears on the second floor, but he's still in the area of the land shark's ability. Players took to the comments section to agree with the OP's suggestion and shared stories of how they were also taken by his strongest ability despite flying with heroes like Iron Man and Storm.
Marvel Rivals players want Jeff's ultimate hitbox to change
In the comments on Kevin PigaChu's post, two more changes to Jeff's ult were suggested, one of them being a visual adjustment to make it easier for the player to tell if he's in or out of range. Another player asked for the size of the ult to be reduced, while others argued that the size of the indicator does not match the size of the skill. Thanks to this, Jeff can catch enemies outside of the ult animation. Other Redditors also took the opportunity to comment that the hitbox issue isn't unique to the hero, mentioning Cloak and Dagger's ult, which can damage flying enemies, and Spider-Man's uppercut.
NetEase released Marvel Rivals on December 6, and so far the shooter has received two updates. The first brought various fixes and general improvements to the game's maps and heroes. The second patch was released recently and kicked off the Winter Celebration, which will last until January 8, 2025. Coincidentally, players who join the new event can get a new free winter-themed skin for Jeff in Rivals of Marvel.
