The fan favorite is about to hit our supermarket shelves again with Arnott's to bring back the classic Aussie taste for the end of the torture season.
Shapes Four'N Twenty Classic Meat Pie will hit supermarket shelves. along with the Shapes Fully Loaded Bueno Beef Taco, which will have hints of Mexican beef and tomatoes.
Arnott first launched Meat Pie and Sausage Sizzle flavors in its Shapes Aussie Legends range in 2019 following the popularity of Vegemite Shapes, and two years later introduced another version of the savory treat.
Food blogger @nectoriouspapi said two flavors of Shapes will be in stores, and people have had a great response.
“Very interested in the new Cadbury and Shapes,” boasted one social media user.
Another said: “Yum, that sounds so good.”
A spokesperson for the brand revealed that the scent was brought back to celebrate the football season.
“Shapes is known for bringing flavor to life, and both of our latest flavor drops do just that. Shapes Four'N Twenty Classic Meat Pie is the perfect snack for the cloudy season,” said Shapes Marketing Manager at Arnott's Krishma Sood.
“It's a delicious combination of two of Australia's most iconic mud forages, fully living up to Shapes' legendary status as the Flavor of Footy,” Ms Sood said.
“As a wish to all Shapes fans who love good Mexican food, we've also introduced the Bueno Beef Taco, fully loaded with Shapes. Aussies will be celebrating Taco Tuesday every day of the week with this out-of-control snack packed with extra flavor and crunch.”
The two flavors are available now from Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers for $4.
It comes after Arnott's was accused of changing the taste and formulation of its salad crackers in line with customer feedback on Product Review.
One seasoned salad fan, Rita, said the sponge became thinner and lighter and gave the product a one-star rating.
“The cookies are very thin now. Spreading cream cheese, etc. makes them break! They have a lot more holes… a 50/50 ratio of holes to cookies, which dramatically reduces the weight of each box,” she wrote in May.
“Air fee! Other brands are cheaper and weigh more product.”
Arnotts, however, rejected claims that the crackers were smaller in size or had changed composition.
“Perfect for meal size, snack and slice with all your favorite toppings, Arnott's Original Salada crackers have not changed in size and neither has its recipe,” the spokesperson said.
“The entire Arnott's salad range continues to offer Aussies a convenient on-the-go snack or lunch option, simply by dipping or adding your favorite toppings.”
