LEGO fans and Nintendo will want to know that some of the sets that the two companies collaborated on are being discontinued. As a result, some sets are being sold at a discount, and the discontinuation of Nintendo LEGO sets affects both the US and the UK.
There have been many collaborations between LEGO and Nintendo properties over the years. Mario games were most famous for LEGO sets, but other Nintendo properties like Zelda and Animal crossing also received theirs.
Nintendo gamers who like LEGO should consider picking up a few sets soon as a few have been discontinued. Peach's Castle and Garden Balloon Expansion Set, Nabbit at Toad's Shop Expansion Set, Dixie Kong's Jungle Jam Expansion Set, and Diddy Kong's Mine Cart Ride Expansion Set are being discontinued in the US. The Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Peach sets are available for 20% off, while Nabbit in the Toad's Shop is still at regular price. In the UK, the discontinued sets are much larger, including the Nintendo Entertainment System, Peach's Garden Balloon Ride, Yoshi's Egg-cellent Forest Expansion Set and more.

While some fans are undoubtedly upset that some of these sets are being discontinued, the partnership between Nintendo and LEGO is far from over. Mario Kart and Animal crossing both are getting new LEGO sets that will begin production in 2025. Mario Kart will see six LEGO sets launch on January 1, so far Animal crossing will get three. This isn't the only collaboration that Nintendo will be involved in Lego adventure horizon launches on Nintendo Switch in November. This is an unusual choice, like all the previous ones Horizon the games were exclusive to the PC and PlayStation platforms.
With new LEGO collections constantly being released, there is a constant process of weeding out old sets and introducing new ones. Fans who haven't already picked up Nintendo's discontinued kits should consider picking them up before it's too late. At this point, the only option is likely to be to buy them from resellers, who tend to raise prices knowing that there is a limited amount for sale.
