Kaisen jujutsu ending, explanation
Recently finished Jujutsu Kaisen. Here's how it went in the last chapters.
Now this JJK concluded that fans can look back on this character and see for themselves how his journey ended and whether it was done well or not. The final arc proved to be incredibly decisive for Yuji Itadora's character, and he showed growth that fans didn't expect from him. Undoubtedly, Yuji lived up to all expectations and in many ways even exceeded them. In the end, Yuji proved to be the savior of jujutsu society, and now he carries a heavy burden on his shoulders.
Yuji Itadora's growth in the Shinjuku showdown was staggering
- Yuji Itadori received several powers before the showdown in Shinjuku
- Yuji awakened a new cursed technique
Yuji Itadori was never the most charismatic or strong character. It can be said that even at the end of the series, Yuuji is far from the most interesting character, as evidenced by his popularity in many polls conducted in Japan. However, that doesn't mean Yuuji isn't a good character. Yuuji always steps up when he's needed, and fans have seen this in many of the main arcs of the series. Fans saw Yuuji reach an unprecedented level of power in the Shibuya Incident Arc, and if that wasn't enough, Yuuji continued to grow later and reached an even higher level of power. In the Culling Game, Yuji showed resilience and a great growth rate, but that's nothing compared to what he achieved in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. It's safe to say that the timeskip was significant for Yuji before the showdown in Shinjuku. During the timeskip, Yuuji trained tirelessly and reached a higher level of power.
Did this brat just use the reverse curse technique? – Sukuna
Yuji was seen training with three people. These three people were Yuta Okotsu, Kusakabe, and of course Gojo. Little is known about how Yuji and Yuta trained. However, considering that Yuta is incredibly adept at using the cursed energy, fans know for sure that it helped him grow stronger immensely. At the same time, Yuta and Yuuji were fighting together against Sukuna, so perhaps this training saw them using the technique together more than anything else. However, Yuji's training against the likes of Kusakabe proved to be incredibly important. In this training, he learned the power of a simple domain, which ended up saving his life and giving him a huge boost that allowed him to win the battle against Sukuna for good.
At the same time, Yuji also ate Death Paintings #4-9. This gave him access to Blood Manipulation and helped him heal effectively, though he still struggles to properly utilize the advanced capabilities of the cursed Blood Manipulation technique.
Yuuji's victory over Sukuna ended the elimination game
Yuuji's shrine helped him sustain his strength against Sukuna
Yuji Itadori also grew tremendously in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. In this particular segment of the story, Yuuji displayed all the abilities he gained during the timeskip, such as the Reverse Cursed Technique and Simple Domain on top of that. In addition, he also gained new powers during this battle. The most significant of these powers was the cursed technique of the Shrine that he had awakened. The shrine was etched into Yuji's body due to Sukuna taking up residence inside him. As Gojō saw with his six eyes, Yuuji was essentially imbued with Sukuna's cursed energy, and this gave him access to his cursed technique. It was awakened after he struck a powerful black flash against Sukuna, and from that point on, Yuuji combined the Shrine's slicing and dicing abilities with his soul damage ability.
That's right, Sukuna! I can kill you! – Yuji Itadori
Yuji essentially created a version of Dismantling and Soul Splitting, and these techniques proved to be decisive in the battle against Sukuna. If all that wasn't enough, Yuji also designed a domain extension at the very end that worked in a mysterious way, to say the least. Fans didn't understand how Yuuji was able to summon all the places in the domain from his memories, but none of that really matters because in the end, Yuuji just unleashed a soul breakdown on Sukun, followed by a powerful black flash. This was the final blow to the King of Curses and he finally defeated him. With Sukuna defeated, it was torn from Megumi's body and Yuuji was declared the winner.

Jujutsu Kaisen: New Strongest Warlock After Shinjuku Showdown Explained
With the deaths of Gojo and Sukuna at the end of the Shinjuku showdown arc, which wizard is now the strongest in JJK?
Surprisingly, Yuji once again tried to save Sukuna. He gave him another chance to start over, but Sukuna kept his words to the very end and died as a curse. This was the end of the Curse King, while it was a new beginning for Yuuji as he reached a new level of power and continued to follow the path of power to save his loved ones.
Yuji Itadori inherited Gojo's dream and went on to be a magician
The Gojo New World Order was eventually created by Yuji
After the battle against Sukuna ended, the elimination games were also over. Also, fans got to see the witches reunited. The order was reversed once the superiors were all dealt with, especially those who monopolized the simple area. Meanwhile, the Jujutsu Society began to reform and Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara set off on their mission as usual. They continued to face threats every day and demonstrated that even if Gojo is no longer around, they must be held accountable.
Fans also got to see a very touching flashback in the final chapter JJK between Yuji and Gojo. Gojo essentially gave his dream to Yuuji, knowing that he was the only one capable of carrying the burden. Gojo suggested that Yuuji forget about him and gain a new kind of power that he would need if he followed the treacherous path of a powerful sorcerer. However, Yuuji's response filled Gojo with even more confidence as he said that he would never be able to forget him and that he would continue to do what he does best. Gojo then told him that he expected great things from him, and this essentially marked the moment where Gojo's dream became Yuji's dream, and Gojo could leave the jujutsu world without any worries. It was essentially Gojo Yuji's farewell message, and it was perfect in so many ways.
After Gojo's death, the strongest magicians in the world are Yuta and Yuji. Undoubtedly, Yuji's potential is higher, but at the moment, Yuta remains the strongest. However, Yuji's ending was definitely a good one, especially as fans saw him inspire new cursed energy users to follow in his footsteps and become useful to society.
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.
