As the main characters in DandadanMomo Ayase and Okorun both possess a set of pretty impressive powers. At the very beginning of the anime, Momo discovers her psychic abilities while fighting the Serpaians. Along with this, Okorun becomes the cursed Turbo Granny, who also brings with her her own set of unique and impressive powers.

Between them, each of their strengths brings importance to the team Dandadan and allows them to defeat their enemies in pairs with ease. However, if the two of them had to split up and rely only on their own strength, which of them would prevail?

In the first episode DandadanMomo Ayase awakens her psychic powers after being abducted by Serpoi aliens. After that, she unlocks many abilities, including aura detection, psychokinesis, impressive stamina and endurance, durability, and more. Along with these abilities, she is also known to be very intelligent as many fans can see when she needs to solve a problem and figure out what to do next in a tight time frame. Instead of breaking down under pressure like Okorun, she is able to stay calm and find solutions.

What really stands out among her powers is psychokinesis, which allows her to pick up almost any object, despite its size and weight. Thanks to this, she can easily protect herself when she finds herself in a difficult situation on her own. Just like when she grabbed Turbo Granny after taking possession of the maneki-neko doll, she can stop any danger in her path, giving her enough time to think about what to do next. Aside from simply grabbing an object with her psychokinesis, she can also catapult herself to deal heavy damage and knock out an enemy. This gives her a slight advantage over spirits and aliens.

Aura detection is another aspect of Momo's powers that really sets her apart. With this ability, she can find almost any spirit nearby, which can be especially useful for finding spirits that are hiding. She was able to easily look into Okarun and discover that Grandmother Turbo had cursed him, even after a great battle that supposedly defeated her. Along with detecting hidden spirits, she can also use this ability to help those around her, especially in the case of Okarun, who often finds himself cursed.

When it comes to Okaruna's abilities, he doesn't initially get them, just like Momo. Instead, it takes a while for his abilities to unlock, and they only really come to him after he becomes a cursed Turbo Granny. Turbo Granny is eventually banished from Okorun, meaning he can no longer retain the powers he gained from her. However, he soon regains some of these powers, as he is constantly exposed to the supernatural, and eventually restores his powers to their original ability.

With the powers of Turbo Granny at his side, Okarun has quite a few abilities he can use. This includes incredibly fast speed and reflexes, impressive durability, a strong bite on his mask, moving between telephone wires and even astral projection. Mainly, his abilities are heavily focused on his speed and strength, as well as his ability to survive intense attacks or throws. With such high speed, he can easily attack the enemy without even being able to land a single hit on him. This super speed will also allow him to escape at the last moment if needed when he is in a tight spot.

Okaruna's extra supernatural abilities from the Turbo Granny yokai can also be useful when he's on his own. Since it can travel along telephone wires, this can be used to escape if necessary or to quickly get to another location. While he doesn't use this ability often, it's certainly something he can keep in his back pocket should the need arise. His ability to astral projection has not yet been fully explored, as he performed this ability by accident. However, it is an easy way to separate from his body and spy on others to learn about hidden plans or find a solution without being in immediate danger.

While both Okorun and Momo have abilities that are useful in fighting spirits and aliens, one of them has abilities that will be more useful in the long run. Okorun and Momo work together as a team to improve their individual abilities, but Momo has impressive abilities that shine on her own as well. Okaruna has unmatched speed and strength, but Momo also lacks in strength. She has impressive durability and can survive intense attacks, just like Okorun, but with additional supernatural powers. Most of what Okorun has over her is his speed.

Momo also has these powers after unlocking them, while Okarun was only able to get his after being repeatedly cursed by Turbo Granny. In almost any battle, Momo could defend herself on her own, as she could use her aura detection ability to find any hidden entities and her psychokinesis to either catapult objects at the enemy or grab them directly and throw them. Although Okorun is physically stronger, it seems that Momo would have a better chance of completely defeating the enemy than just temporarily neutralizing the threat.
