Dragon Age: Inquisition was released ten years ago, in 2014. It included many firsts for BioWare, including its first entry developed on EA's Frostbite Engine. This led to a Dragon Age a game that delivered incredible highs with some awkward spots like the now infamous Hinterlands challenge. One area where it excelled was how it made Thedas a more unique fantasy place with a strong and consistent narrative thread that could be followed through its timeline.
Dragon Age reveals his knowledge in ways that go beyond mere presentation, such as in letters, books, and notes that show the various and varied perspectives of those living in Thedas. Instead of simply expanding knowledge, Dragon Age: Inquisition began deconstructing some of the known truths in Thedas, especially the religions of the Elves, Dwarves, and Chantri.

Expanding the world of Dragon Age with Inquisition
Dragon Age: Inquisition was a game that brought to the fore the deconstruction of several themes, including the narrative of the “chosen one.” The way his core story addresses religion and legend, from their often humble origins and how they are immortalized into greatness, was a massive departure from Dragon Age 2a smaller, low-key story, not such a comeback Dragon Age Origins' tone, as some players wanted. This helped establish a pattern Dragon AgeA template for creating new experiences in each game in the series on multiple levels, including gameplay and narrative themes.
One of the greatest legacies that Dragon Age: Inquisition there is a trace on which it was made Dragon Ageknowledge where Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 founded and created the foundations of the world of Thedas, Dragon Age: InquisitionDiscoveries deconstructed its sections. Instead of contradicting established knowledge, however, deconstruction Dragon Agethe story corresponded to the theme of c Dragon Age: Inquisitionthe story of the origin of religious figures. With a literal religious figure as a party member, posing as pure before the weight of legend was placed upon him, Dragon Age: InquisitionThemes are hard to forget.
Making the world of Dragon Age more challenging
Adding a Dragon Age: InquisitionThe latest DLC, Trespasser, further illustrated this theme, particularly in relation to the legacy of the Inquisition and the question of when the Inquisition should be disbanded or continue to be a powerful force in Thedas. All of this culminated in a final conversation with Solas, where the Inquisitor had the opportunity to question him about his role in his rebellion, the figure he remembered for the people he saved, and those who remained.
Dragon Age: Inquisition even today is criticized for its huge open worlds filled with side quests that amount to little more than busywork. Another point of contention was its power system, which sometimes dragged the story to a crawl, so those who wanted to bypass the quests couldn't go through the main quest line. This criticism was heard loud and clear by BioWare, and although it was present in the Mass Effect: Andromeda, Dragon Age: The Veilguard launched without these problems. Despite these shortcomings, Dragon Age: Inquisition still holds up today as a strong RPG with a narrative identity that held Dragon Age series for an entire decade.
