For years Gearbox software The border franchise was one of the biggest names in the gaming industry. While the 2024 movie may not have set the world on fire, the video game series seemed to go from hit to hit with the highly anticipated Borderlands 4 looms on the horizon. It remains to be seen if the studio can recapture the attention of gamers, but if it can, there's no telling where the series will go. unfortunately Little Tina's Wonderland series may not be supported.
Released in 2022, Little Tina's Wonderland took The border formula into the realm of fantasy for brand new adventures. While it wasn't the best entry in the series, it gave players a fresh experience that was a welcome change of scenery. Despite this, recent rumors suggest that the next chapter of Tiny Tina's tale has been canceled. There's a chance these rumors aren't true, but hopefully Gearbox will keep a possible sequel on the table.

With Borderlands 4's concept alone, it would be wise to proceed with caution
One of Borderlands 4's most notable features might also be one of its best, but it should still come easily with a single concept.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands could make a fantastic sub-series
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands rocked the formula fantastically
Since 2009 The borderthere was no escaping the wild sci-fi universe of Gearbox Software. Since then, not only have three more titles followed, but mobile spin-offs and new adventures from Telltale Games. Thanks to this, the studio created a unique sci-fi universe filled with extremely memorable characters, wild stories and one of the most iconic antagonists in gaming. While the franchise has been delivering consistent quality loot shooters, Gearbox felt it was time for something different. The studio did just that with Little Tina's Wonderland.
Acts as a sequel Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, Little Tina's Wonderland was unlike anything the franchise had seen up to that point. The world was fantasy-themed rather than sci-fi, players controlled a custom-made character, and the whole adventure felt like a tabletop RPG. As such, players were constantly accompanied by Tiny Tina as she took on the role of DM, serving as a persistent companion throughout the story. This unique approach may not have made waves among Borderlands fans, but it offered something that many players will not forget.
Gearbox can do so much with Wonderlands
Since its release, there hasn't been much news about the future Little Tina's Wonderland. The DLC has been controversial among fans, and for now it looks like Gearbox is focused on the release Borderlands 4. Once it hits store shelves, there will likely be plenty of DLC packs to follow as the studio develops its next adventure. Although some may hope so Little Tin's Wonderland 2this may not be the case.
There are conflicting reports as to whether the sequel has been canceled. The best case scenario is that it's in active development and players will get a sequel in a few years. Combining fantasy with The border made for an immersive experience, and Gearbox has barely scratched the surface of what it can do with that idea. There may be many new activities to do, new adventures to go on, and more Dungeons and Dragons-similar mechanics to adapt and many fantastic concepts waiting to be explored.
It remains to be seen when Little Tina's Wonderland has come and gone, or if the studio has another adventure up its sleeve. If anything, then The border the franchise probably isn't going anywhere anytime soon. While this would probably lead to some fun sci-fi adventures, Little Tina's Wonderland hopefully this isn't the only looting shooter Gearbox is taking a risk with.
