Hunter x Hunter: Longhi's Nen Ability Transparent World

Hunter x Hunter has one of the weirdest power systems in Shonen manga called Nen. Nen's power system is extremely well thought out and it's always interesting to see what Togashi comes up with when it comes to Nen's abilities.

In HxH 401, Togashi introduces a new Nen ability that belongs to none other than Longi, an exciting character that fans should keep an eye on in the Legacy War.

Who is Longi?

Longhi is a character that fans have not paid much attention to in the story until recently. Longi was first introduced in Hunter x Hunter in chapter 369 of the manga titled “Borders.” This chapter takes place during the Continuity Contest arc, which is still ongoing. Longi is the personal bodyguard of the 5th Prince Tubepa and was featured alongside the bodyguards of other princes and queens of the Kakin Empire. She wasn't the only bodyguard sent by Prince Tubep that day either, as Maor was also by her side on the prince's orders to recruit Kurapika to their side, even if it meant making a deal with Prince Wobble.

Nor does Longhi reveal until much later that she has Nan. It's interesting that she didn't raise her hand to the question: “Who can use nen anymore?” earlier in history. Even her own prince has no idea of ​​her powers.

It was hard to see then that Longhi would be a separate character. However, her true purpose was finally hinted at at the end of chapter 400, which came out 2 years ago. U Hunter X Hunter chapter 402, at the very end, she revealed to Kurapika that she could already use nen and made him agree to her contract that would have Prince Wobble in alliance with Prince Tubepa.

Section 401, which came out recently, greatly expanded what happened during that meeting. In this chapter, fans were introduced to her nen ability known as Transparent World – Moonlight Edict, an ability she uses to make a contract with Kurapika. She also revealed a massive piece of information that changes everything fans knew about the succession war that this arc revolves around. Longi is Paza Neter's daughter, and she believes that Paza Neter has a child among the Kakin princes, someone he wants to see on the Kakin throne. She and her half-siblings were cursed and turned into human sacrifices by their parents to achieve this goal.

Transparent World – Moonlight Decree is most likely a manipulation technique, especially since Longhi describes it as “Conditional manipulative ability”. At first, it can be confused with the specialist ability, as it has been shown that she can give her power to someone as a boon if it is written in a contract. Give or steal abilities is something that has happened to professionals more than once. However, the way she describes her abilities makes it seem like manipulation, making Longi more than likely a Manipulator.

Either way, Longhi's Transparent World – Moonlight Decree can be a very useful ability. This ability basically allows her to create limited term contracts, meaning that these contracts need to be renewed in order to continue working.

As far as fans know, Longhi can put almost anything into his contract. With her contract, she can either bestow boons or limit the power of the people who sign it. Indeed, Longhi can give her ability to someone else if they honor her contract. On the other hand, if someone fails to fulfill her contract, she can cause them to go into a Zetsu state, a state where the person is unable to access their aura and thus unable to use their abilities, which can be very dangerous, especially in places like the Black Whale.

One of the conditions of Longi's ability is also that she be completely truthful when explaining her abilities and the terms of her contracts. Therefore, deceiving another person is impossible with her ability. The person signing this contract must also fully agree to the terms and conditions and sign it and cannot be forced to do so.

A one-week contract between Prince Wobble and Prince Tubepa

Prince Tubepa tried to win Kurapika over to his side as seen chapters ago, even if it meant forcing an alliance with the 14th prince currently under Kurapika's protection, Prince Wobble.

Longi managed to get exactly what Prince Tubepa asked of her by convincing Kurapika to agree to her terms. She laid everything out for Kurapika as transparently as possible. The main term of their contract is as follows:

Princes, queens and their bodyguards are forbidden to harm each other. This contract provides for a peace agreement between Prince Tubepa's side and Prince Wobble's side.

The contract, if both parties want to renew it, will renew once a week on Sunday at 9am in room 1014 – the same room where they discuss it in the manga. Tubepa is not required to renew the contract herself, but simply has to send one of her representatives to room 1014. It has been clarified that actions without malicious intent, such as Tubepa healing someone, do not violate the contract. Therefore, only harmful actions will be counted.

If this contract is violated, Longhi stipulates that Zetsu's state will be forced, depriving someone of their Nen ability for one week. Longi also adds to the contract that Kurapika and the others with Prince Wobble must determine who is the Prince of the Abroad before Tubepa withdraws from the Succession War. If there is no son of Zamezh among the princes, then the contract is fulfilled immediately.
