Updated on October 3, 2024 by Manish Kumar Choudhary:PocketPair continues to expand Palworld's raid boss feature by introducing new bosses. This Summoning Altar guide has been updated with more information about Pala Slabs and Slab Fragments. You'll also find easily accessible places to fight raid bosses in Palworld.
How to unlock summoning altar and build it
The Summoning Altar is an ancient technology that can be unlocked at level 33 Interball world. After reaching level 33, you can spend three ancient technology points to unlock a building recipe. The easiest way to get Ancient Tech Points is to defeat the Alpha Buddies found in the Palpagos Islands. If you're up for the challenge, feel free to fight the tower's tough bosses to get five Ancient Technology points by defeating them the first time.
Once you've unlocked the Summoning Altar, you'll need the following items to build it:
- 100 stones
- 20 paldium fragments
The Summoning Altar is located on the Other tab of the Build menu. It is important to consider where you build the altar. While it may be tempting to place it in the main database for convenience, this is not recommended. Instead, it is advisable to set aside a separate base specifically for summoning and fighting raid bosses. Interball world allows you to create up to three bases by creating a Palbox.
This strategic decision is very important because raid bosses can wreak havoc on your base. By keeping the main base separate, you can protect it from the potential destruction guaranteed during a boss battle. An open area is perfect for building a summon altar, as you'll have plenty of room to move around freely and let your powerful friends fight the boss without getting stuck in weird places.
How to get altar call plates
If you don't have enough slabs to summon the raid boss, you'll need to hunt for slab fragments. These rare items are often found as rewards in chests scattered throughout dungeons and open world areas such as wildlife sanctuaries.
For lower level raid bosses like Eclipsed Siren Bellanoir, search dungeons in early game regions like Windswept Hills and Sea Breeze Archipelago for Slab Fragments. For high-level bosses like Twilight Siren Belanoir Liber, explore dungeons and regions like Obsidian Mountain, the Parched Desert, and the Astral Mountains. Defeating Belenoire Libero's Dusk Siren will reset the plate for challenging an even more formidable version of the same raid boss.
In addition to Belanur, you can also find Slab Fragments to summon Blasmouth Ryu, the Raid Boss variant of Blasmouth Fire. Blazamouth Ryu is a Dragon/Fire buddy that has access to powerful attacks like Magna Crush and Brawn Impact, and has the exclusive skill Eternal Flame, which increases Fire and Lightning attacks by 30%. You can transfer this passive skill to other friends through breeding and improve their attack. Fragments of Ryu's Blazamouth Slab can be found inside chests found in the dungeons of Obsidian Mountain, Parched Desert, Astral Mountains, and Sakurajima Island.
Once you have collected the four slab fragments, go to the workbench or conveyor to assemble the slab. Fortunately, unlocking the recipe to call the stove in Interball world does not require points, but remember that the recipe only becomes visible when you have at least one plate fragment in your inventory. As for the Ultra Slab Shards, they can only be obtained by defeating a regular raid boss.
How to use the Summoning Altar and start a raid
Once you have built the Summoning Altar, the next step is to create the Pala Slab to start the Raid Boss Summoning Ritual. Simply place the slab into the summoning altar and select the Summon Powerful Friend option. Interball world will ask you for confirmation before summoning the boss and starting the raid, making sure you're prepared for the encounter.
During the raid, you will have 10 minutes to defeat the boss or you will lose both the challenge and the Pala plate that started the raid. You'll also lose the raid if the Palbox is destroyed, so try to draw the raid boss away from it.
Once you start the raid boss battle, there is no way out Interball world. It is recommended to prepare an army of 25 strong high-level friends. Five of them will be part of your team, and the rest can be summoned to your friends' base. You may want to train extra friends because many of them will probably die during the fight and you may need to replace them with a Palbox.
The best places to build a summon altar and fight raid bosses
Fighting the raid boss is not an easy task. In most cases, the raid boss will destroy every friend and building near the Palbox. For this reason, it is important to choose carefully where to build your summoning altar and start your raid. Because of the awkward movement of friends in Interball worldit is advisable to look for even areas for raid boss battles. fortunately Interball world offers several such places. Here are some great places to fight a raid boss:
West coast of the Forgotten Isle
Forgotten Island is one of the beginner-friendly regions Interstellar. Its west coast has a long, flat beach perfect for raid boss battles. You can also use the small island with the Forgotten Isle fast travel point as a raiding base, although the limited space may limit your friends' movement.
Open area north of Lv. 15 Penking Alpha Boss
Lv. 15 Penking is one of the first alpha bosses you'll encounter Interball world due to low level and early availability. North of the boss room you'll find a wide open area. Although there are a lot of rocks scattered around, your friends should be able to maneuver around them and fight the raid boss without too much trouble.
East of the Black Exchanger on East Savage Island
In the far east of the Palpagos Islands, you'll encounter the Eastern Wild Islands. This island is home to two powerful Alpha bosses, Masanda Lux and Wumpo Botan, as well as a black trader. To the east of the Black Marketeer is a large open area on top of the hills, perfect for a raid boss fight. Be careful though, as the boss can fall off the mountain.
